I got bigger and bigger: The former “Community” actress experienced “full-blown diabetes.”

Previously, on the Sean Hayes and Dr. Priyanka Wali podcast Hypochondriactor, the remarkable actress said that she was “excessively eating sweets” during the protracted, 16-hour days of production on the NBC sitcom.

The 49-year-old actress stated that she got diabetes (or gave herself diabetes) by eating a lot of sweets, donuts to be precise, during the shooting of “Community.” Yvette Nicole said, “I spent a lot of time at the craft services table, and I watched myself get bigger and bigger. And if you watch the show, you can see me get bigger and bigger.”

The actress continued, “And I got a pre-diabetes diagnosis maybe in season one, and then by season three, it was full-blown diabetes.” Then, Wali reassured the Emmy-nominee actress that she does not think “it’s people’s fault that they get diabetes.”

One of the most addictive things in the world is currently entirely legal and socially acceptable, according to Wali, who claimed that this is the society in which people live. And as per the doctor, sugar nowadays is equivalent to tobacco. Wali also said to the actress, “And so it’s not your fault that there were doughnuts lying around.”

Wali said she strongly disagreed when people implied that type 2 diabetes is something you give yourself. She continues to say that she believes that everyone lives in a very toxic food society and that developing diabetes is not their fault.

Yvette acknowledged her point and expressed her agreement that sugar is, indeed, an “addiction.” She stated, “I swear I would walk past the donuts and go, ‘You don’t have to eat five,’ and my body would go, ‘Yes, you do.’ So I can imagine that it calls you the way drugs call the people that are addicted.”

Yvette Nicole Brown stated that she has drastically reduced her sugar intake since getting her diagnosis. The actress expressed that she was thankful for her situation, where she had that much time on set and was not walking by tasty foods.

Furthermore, The greater diabetes prevalence in the Black community was also mentioned by Brown and Wali. The doctor said, “The rates of diabetes in the African-American community are higher, and there are more complications.”

She continued, “I personally, given the populations I’ve treated, I think being a black person in the United States dealing with just everyday life, plus the effects of racism, I think that actually impacts health outcomes,” in which the actress agreed.

This can also be an easy way if one wants to start their own weight loss journey. Exercising regularly on a treadmill and consuming more water than usual is one way to begin with light exercises daily before opting for a heavy workout routine.

There are also other exercises that do not require as much energy as a treadmill or jogging but still allow you to burn some calories and develop muscles. One good example is walking – although walking might seem too easy, it actually provides a full-body workout if you work hard enough.

Many people walk for at least thirty minutes every day as a way to stay healthy and fit. If you want to gain muscle and improve cardiovascular health at the same time, consider going for a fast walk at your local park. This will burn many calories and keep you physically active all day.

Another low-impact workout is cycling. One can cycle either indoors or outdoors. Going for a long ride on your bicycle will help you shed those extra pounds and improve your cardiovascular health as well. If you live in the city, try cycling to work instead of driving or taking public transport. This is also a great way to relieve stress after a long day at work. Another great way to exercise is to stretch your body every morning after waking up. Stretching will help to loosen up your muscles and make them less tense.

Stretching also releases endorphins, which are hormones that help to give you a natural high. As a result, you will feel happier and more relaxed throughout the day. You can also do some yoga or pilates to help stretch your body. Both of these forms of exercise are very relaxing and help relieve stress from your body.

Try doing these exercises at least once a day in order to reduce stress in your life. With all these light activities, it’s a good start for a beginner to lose weight and stay healthy. Progress is worthwhile, but don’t expect miracles from the beginning; keep at it, and you will see results.
