The reason behind the kiss was not clear, but it was definitely not a good idea.
The early departure of Caroline Manzo from “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” during the fourth season’s filming of the show wasn’t, of course, without controversy since before departing, Caroline had a very nasty interaction with Brandi Glanville who made an inappropriate attempt to kiss her.
The two housewives reportedly shot scenes last week in Marrakech, Morocco, according to several sources obtained by PEOPLE. However, Glanville goes beyond when she and Manzo are partying, kissing her repeatedly without her consent.
Filming proceeded that evening despite the setback. Glanville acknowledged Manzo’s feelings by text message the next morning and expressed regret. However, the harm was already done, and production responded by telling the superiors what happened.
“It was unwanted,” one source shared. “And Caroline’s distress over the matter did not seem to stop Brandi. Things escalated, and physical boundaries allegedly were crossed that Caroline felt were serious and uncomfortable.”
Glanville’s exclusion from the trip was arranged on that day without Manzo’s knowledge. Subsequently, Manzo later decided to cease shooting and leave the show on her own because she wanted some space from the restrictions of reality television to process what had happened.
As we previously reported, Brandi and Caroline left the set following an argument during the fourth “Ultimate Girls Trip” filming season. In fact, since the women arrived at their filming destination, Brandi has been arguing not just with Caroline but also with Alex McCord, Camille Grammer, and Vicki Gunvalson. Furthermore, along with Brandi, Caroline was also at odds with Camille.
Despite this nasty event, their other co-stars continued to shoot through Saturday’s finale, but the incident between them is now the subject of an ongoing internal investigation.
It’s hardly surprising that Manzo opted to leave the set of the program early rather than stay and feel uncomfortable after Glanville made unwanted approaches to her. Glanville has a history of being flirtatious with the other housewives, but this was clearly going too far.
Future episodes of the show will be intriguing to watch to see how this issue develops. Will Manzo confront Glanville about her attempted kiss? Will the two women be able to put this event behind them? Time alone will tell.
