Andrew East’s Early Life
American football player Andrew East was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 17, 1991. He is the son of Guy East and Marsha East. He has three brothers – Guy, James, and Grant – and one sister – Christine.
As a high school student, East was captain of the North Central High School football team in Indianapolis, Indiana. He totaled 64 tackles and seven quarterback sacks as a first-year starter. He was named All-Around-Area linebacker and received Indiana Academic All-State honors.
After high school, East attended the Owen Graduate School of Management. He then attended Vanderbilt University for a four-year college football career. (3)

As of 2023, Andrew East is a husband and father. He is currently married to his wife, Shawn Johnson, an Olympic gold champion in gymnastics. The couple has a child named Drew Hazel East. Andrew East’s Career
American football player Andrew East began his professional career in 2015. However, before he even began his professional career, he first started playing football when he was in high school. He even became the North Central High School football team captain in Indianapolis.
He started three seasons on defense and special teams for the Indianapolis-area 5A school. East started as a sophomore and junior linebacker, recording 110 tackles in his second season. While beginning as a long snapper, he was voted the All-Area linebacker.
East was a first-year starter as a senior and made 64 tackles while also recording seven quarterback sacks. And with his great plays, the accolades for Indiana Academic All-State were also given to the athlete. Then his professional career started on May 11, 2015; Andrew signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs despite going undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft.
In 2015, the Chiefs released him on August 30. He joined the Seattle Seahawks on a reserve/future contract on January 4, 2016, but was released on March 24, 2016, four months later. Andrew was hired by the Oakland Raiders in April 2016 and afterward released by the group on August 29, 2016.
Andrew signed a contract with the Los Angeles Rams on March 13, 2017. His time with the organization was brief, as the Rams released him on May 3, 2017. On July 28, 2017, Andrew began his second stint with the Raiders, and on September 2, he was released.
On January 19, 2018, he subsequently agreed to a reserve/future deal with the Raiders. In late April 2018, the Raiders released him. (4)
