James Gregory Vaughan, Jr.’s parents are Barbara Ann and James Gregory Vaughan, and he was born in Dallas, Texas. Greg attended Mesquite High School and was raised in both Dallas and Fredericksburg, Texas; then, he graduated in 1991.

Vaughan participated in student athletics and never steered away from a school talent show. He was spotted in a neighborhood back-to-school fashion show at the age of 16, the year he was set to graduate from high school, and was quickly signed up by a nearby modeling agency.

Before turning 21, he traveled to Milan, Italy, months after finishing high school, and landed famous campaigns for Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace, Banana Republic, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren.

The popular Aaron Spelling NBC series “Malibu Shores,” in which Vaughan achieved his television series breakthrough as Josh Walker, served as the launch pad for his acting career. Subsequently, which spun off into “Beverly Hills 90210,” in which Vaughan played Cliff Yeager, was the beginning of Vaughan’s acting career (1996-1997).

After starring in a few modest independent films, he was cast in the well-known cult movies “Poison Ivy” and “Children of the Corn V” before transitioning to film. Greg worked as a guest star on several television shows. Soon after, Dan Gordon, a series regular on Charmed, was created for Vaughan by Spelling Entertainment (1999-2000).

Kevin Williams’ much-anticipated pilot, Milo Mosley in “Glory Days,” was cast starring Vaughan.
