The bash resulted in considerable damages and even got into issues with the law.

Due to an alleged out-of-control house party, Lil Nas X and Zedd are being sued for $1 million. The party, which was hosted at a leased Hollywood Hills house, is said to have damaged the property and created a commotion in the area.

According to TMZ, which first reported the news, the two singers are being sued by Daniel Fitzgerald, the house owner, who claims that the party seriously damaged the property and caused disruption in the area.

As per the complaint, Fitzgerald claims he clearly prohibited large parties when he leased the premises to the renters, but that didn’t stop Lil Nas X from arranging a party for 1,000 people and paying Zedd to play music for the guests.

Fitzgerald also said that despite knowing they were not permitted to host a party at the venue, Lil Nas X, Zedd, and the event organizers and sponsors nonetheless managed to plan a massive party for April 2022.

Not only that but in addition to offending neighbors and getting him into issues with the law, the homeowner claims the unsolicited party resulted in physically damaging his property to over $25,000, “mainly to chairs, sofas, walls, and ceilings.”

Fitzgerald furthermore alleges that following the party, the house required major renovations, necessitating him to forfeit a month’s rent between renters, which he claims cost him an additional $40,000.

In addition, Zedd and Lil Nas X received a combined payment of at least $250,000. Still, Fitzgerald is pursuing financial compensation from the two performers and the event’s sponsors and organizers, and he is seeking compensatory and punitive damages of at least $1 million.

Zedd

It’s unclear how this legal dispute will turn up, but if Lil Nas X and Zedd are judged responsible for the harm, it might significantly impact their careers. They can suffer consequences to their reputations and jobs, as well as have financial obligations to the homeowners.

This incident, however, emphasizes the necessity for partygoers to show consideration for their neighbors and to clean up after themselves while throwing celebrations.

As of this writing, Lil Nas X and Zedd haven’t released any statements regarding this lawsuit nor addressed it.
