She doesn't appear to be too upset by the departure of her fellow housewife from the show. She even thinks it was good.
In a recent interview, Garcelle Beauvais expressed some critical opinions regarding Lisa Rinna’s departure from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” in which she seemed to imply that Rinna’s departure was beneficial since it was time for something “new.”
Beauvais appeared on Tuesday’s episode of Sherri Shepherd’s talk program of the same name, where the two discussed the most recent cast changes now that the hit reality show is going through it. With that, the subject of Rinna’s departure was raised, and when asked about her reaction, she gave a harsh remark.
“I’m good. I’m good… period,” the reality star said. “You know what, listen, I’m gonna give her credit. She definitely came on the show and made her mark, but now it’s time for new.”
She also said the same thing in the same tone or mood during her interview with E! News, stating, “Lisa came on the show, she did a good job, she left her mark. But I also think change is good. No Housewife is bigger than the franchise.”
In addition, the “RHOBH” star claimed that the departure of her fellow housewife “had a positive effect within the group.” Apparently, she just started shooting the program’s new season alongside her returning co-stars Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, Erika Jayne, and Crystal Kung Minkoff.
“It really feels fresh and fun,” she added. “We’ll always have drama because we’re all independent, strong-minded women, but let’s have fun. It got a little too dark last season.”
As we previously reported, Lisa Rinna, who has been on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” for eight seasons, announced her departure from the Bravo reality series, indicating that she had decided to do so. However, she subsequently elaborated on her reason, saying that while she enjoyed filming the program, she did not find the show airing to be as enjoyable.

“Filming is one thing. But once you see it, once it goes out into the universe, that I don’t love because it takes on a life of its own,” she explained at that time. “When filming, you have your drama, but it’s contained in a sense. And once it goes out, you get opinions and all the stuff that goes on; that’s the part I don’t like.”
Beauvais’ comments are likely to cause some controversy, as Rinna is a fan-favorite among viewers of the show and has been a show’s staple since its fifth season. However, there is some truth to what Beauvais is saying as per other show fans who agreed that it’s time for something “new” indeed. In any case, Beauvais obviously has powerful feelings about the show’s future.
