This legal action even made one of her co-stars outraged.
After being in the headlines for an affair that caused her reputation and image to be ruined, the “Vanderpump Rules” star Raquel Leviss is now taking legal action against her co-stars on the show over an intimate video that is making rounds between them.
The aforementioned intimate video has caused Tom Sandoval’s relationship with Ariana Madix to end. And since then, Raquel’s affair with Sandoval has been in the news, with new information constantly emerging, which includes the video in question.
However, in this case, Raquel claims she was unaware that the video was being recorded and has requested her lawyers to get the other cast members to cease sharing it and destroy the footage by sending a legal letter on Monday.
Raquel’s legal team cited a California rule against “nonconsensual pornography,” which makes it illegal to breach someone’s privacy and spread such video in court records obtained by TMZ.
Moreover, the letter advises that it is illegal to distribute the tape in any way, including through social media or email. The attorneys then demand that anybody who has the recording immediately remove it from their phones, cloud storage, and “any other manner or method in which the recording may exist.”
“This matter should be taken very seriously,” the legal letter concluded. Meanwhile, the letter does not directly charge Tom with secretly filming their call.
One of the cast members who received the said legal letter is Lala Kent, who immediately took to social media to express such outrage, saying, “Raquel. Tell your little Mickey Mouse lawyer that if he has stuff to send over, he can send things to my lawyer. Same with the rest of my friends and cast. Alright?”
“I’ve never in my life had a lawyer contact me in my personal email. Alright? I don’t know if you know how this works. I know you’re pretty brand new to the game. Didn’t last long. Look what you did with your f*cking 15 minutes,” she continued.
Lala then concluded: “You have something to send over; you can send it to my lawyer. That’s why we have counsel. K? I don’t wanna deal. I have a life going on; got a little baby to take care of. I don’t want to see that in the morning. I want to see that ever; send it to Darrell.
This legal action comes after it was revealed that Raquel’s new PR team has a strategy wherein they will try to make her appear as a victim of this affair. And with this legal letter, the plan seemed to start.
As we previously reported, Tom and Raquel had been having an affair for several months before the infidelity scandal became public. And despite Tom’s long-term romance with Ariana, they apparently want to be together.
It was also reported that Ariana learned of the alleged infidelity on Wednesday last week in Los Angeles while she was at Tom’s performance with his band.
Both Ariana’s friend, Sandoval’s other ex, Kristen Doute and Scheana Shay has come to her defenses after the cheating scandal made headlines. Kristen calls out Raquel after the latter’s new PR team strategy has been revealed, trying to make her appear as a victim, while reports have been alleged that Scheana gave the former beauty queen a black eye.
Ariana’s brother Jeremy also did the same thing by releasing a statement regarding their nasty affair, which Raquel’s ex-fiance, James Kennedy, did too.
So far, in this very controversial issue, only Sandoval was the first to break his silence. However, based on how Sandoval’s statement was written, it seems like other people urged him to speak out because it affects his family and business. But he did not choose to speak out and address the affair or show any remorse.
The lawsuit filed by Raquel Leviss against the other cast members is a significant issue. She might obtain considerable compensation for the injury she has suffered if her action is successful and she wins.
