His apology comes after days of intense media scrutiny.
Tom Sandoval is breaking his silence once again, but this time, he’s now finally apologizing to his now ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, over his affair with their “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Raquel Leviss.
In a statement late Tuesday night on his Instagram page, Sandoval addressed his breakup with Ariana. He began by saying, “I want to first and foremost apologize to everyone I’ve hurt through this process.”
“Most of all, I want to apologize to Ariana. I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly.”
“I can only imagine how devastating this has been for Ariana and everyone around us. I feel really horrible about that. My biggest regret is that I dishonored Ariana. I never meant to disappoint so many people, including our loving families and friends,” he continued.
Then he continued by saying that no camera could ever depict how much he loved Ariana. He claims that neither the best nor the worst events they had together were ever recorded on camera. In order for their relationship to not suffer greatly and for it to have ended with the same respect for her as it had begun, he even wished that the events had happened in a different order.
“I owed Ariana better,” the reality star added. “I am beyond sad that it ended the way it did. The choices I made hurt so many people. I acted in a way that clashes with who and how I want to be.”
In his closing remarks, Sandoval emphasized that he had work to do now and in the future. Most likely in reference to either working on himself or repairing the harm he brought to Ariana.
It’s unclear what led to Sandoval’s decision to come clean about his infidelity, but his apology comes after he released a statement days ago on how the affair affects his family and his business. But then, he did not choose to speak out and address the affair or show remorse.
“Schwartz specifically only found out about this very recently, and most definitely did not condone my actions. This was a very personal thing. Also, Schwartz & Sandy’s might have my name on it, but also there are 3 other partners and 20 employees, who especially rely on the restaurant for income for them and their families,” he stated at that time.
“Just like TomTom, I’m a small part of a much bigger thing. Please direct ur anger towards me and not them. They did nothing wrong. Im so sorry that my partners, Greg, Brett, and Schwartz and our employees have to suffer for my actions.”
He then concluded his statement with the announcement that he would be taking a break out of respect for his partners and employees, as he also needed “some time to address everything else.”
As we previously reported, Tom and Raquel had been having an affair for several months before the infidelity scandal became public. And despite Tom’s long-term romance with Ariana, they apparently want to be together.
It was also reported that Ariana learned of the alleged infidelity on Wednesday last week in Los Angeles while she was at Tom’s performance with his band.
Both Ariana’s friend, Sandoval’s other ex, Kristen Doute and Scheana Shay, has come to her defenses after the cheating scandal made headlines. Kristen calls out Raquel after the latter’s new PR team strategy has been revealed, trying to make her appear as a victim, while reports have been alleged that Scheana gave the former beauty queen a black eye.
Ariana’s brother Jeremy also did the same thing by releasing a statement regarding their nasty affair, which Raquel’s ex-fiance, James Kennedy, did too. And for the parties involved, so far, in this very controversial issue, only Sandoval was the first to break his silence.
On the other hand, Raquel is starting to make her move in clearing her name by sending out a legal letter to her “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars over an intimate video making rounds between them, which she alleged that Sandoval took without her knowledge.
Still, she didn’t release any apology to Ariana at the time of this writing. In addition, Bravo executive Andy Cohen releases a statement regarding Raquel’s future on the hit reality show.
