Ingredients
- 1 lb Shrimp – deveined and peeled
- 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
- ½ Medium onion – diced
- 4 cloves Garlic – minced
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Ground black pepper
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 Lemon zest and juice
- ½ tsp Red pepper flakes
- 1 cup Dry white wine
- Fresh parsley
- Parmesan cheese – grated
Instructions
- In a 10″ or larger cast-iron skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat, then add the onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and lemon zest. Cook for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.
- Add white wine and lemon juice and simmer for about five minutes to decrease the sauce.
- Add the shrimp and simmer for three minutes until they turn pink—season with salt and pepper to taste.
- To serve, garnish with parmesan cheese and parsley.
