Just like his co-stars, he also had a rough week after being caught in the middle of the nasty drama.
Most people would do anything to clear their name after being wrongly accused of something. For Tom Schwartz, that something was getting tangled up in Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ affair.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star was recently caught up in a rumor that suggested he had been involved in an affair with his co-stars by covering up for his friend leading to tension among the group and creating some controversy for all parties involved, including Sandoval’s ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix, as well as for the cast of “Vanderpump Rules” and its viewers.
And now, after being silent for a long time, Schwartz has suddenly come forward to defend his reputation and refute the allegations of his involvement in the affair that had been going on for over two weeks during an exclusive interview with TMZ.
On Saturday, the reality star conducted a brief interview with the publication at LAX. Schwartz was beaming from ear to ear when initially asked how things were doing and said that everything was fine. He was then questioned about his friend Sandoval and said he was doing “okay.”
“[Sandoval’s] okay, I think. Relatively speaking, I mean, he has a sense of profound sadness, rightfully so. I think he feels like a piece of sh it. And to some extent, maybe he is, but he knows f*cked up. The whole thing is just really sad,” he stated.
The tv-personality then went on to talk about Ariana, saying, “Luckily, Ariana has a really good support system, and she’s with her friends. I’m not sure where she is, but I hope she’s living a good life, just indulging. Hope she goes on a living spree. I’m just hoping this whole thing blows over.”
He was also asked about Raquel’s situation, about how she’s holding up, but unfortunately, he hasn’t talked to her since her affair with Sandoval was made public.
Following a few inquiries about how everyone is doing in the unpleasant scenario, Schwartz was ultimately questioned about whether or not he knows anything about it, which has been a popular topic of discussion among fans since his name became involved in the controversy.
However, it’s something he still didn’t choose to talk about, answering, “I prefer not to talk about that at the time. I mean, you’ll see it play out on the show. I had such, like a cliche thing to say. But, yeah.”
But when asked if Sandoval ever mentioned the affair to him or talked about Raquel, he just said, “it’s f*cking complicated. That’s the understatement of the year. But anyways, I’m hanging in there. I think Tom’s okay. I haven’t talked to him today.”
Along with everything else, Schwartz was likewise questioned on the drama surrounding Raquel and her ex-friend Scheana Shay, which involved an alleged assault, a restraining order, and Raquel’s fake black eye.
“I haven’t talked to Scheana, but really, I’m just sad, you know, about the negative impact it’s having on our business. But I think cooler heads will prevail, and I think it’s gonna keep on keeping on,” he remarked.
Furthermore, he emphasized that he is currently more concerned about Ariana than he is with the “Vanderpump Rules” ratings. But at the same time, he knows that she has really good support, a lot of friends and family who love her.
Lastly, as a way of putting an end to the rumor that Raquel’s affair with Sandoval was being covered up by their kiss, Schwartz clarified that it wasn’t and added that “it’s kind of complicated.”
Schwartz’s statement about the drama between Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, and Raquel Leviss comes after his name has been tangled up as several fans alleged that Schwartz is likely aware of Sandoval and Raquel’s affair behind Ariana’s back and is only covering it up for them.
If you recall, Raquel asked Schwartz to make out, but it seems like that was all just an act to cover up the fact that she was having an affair with Sandoval.
It was even brought up that they met up at Coachella since some assumed he was the Tom Raquel was with there, but videos have subsequently emerged proving it was Sandoval who even carried Raquel on his shoulders.
And in the midst of the affair becoming public, Sandoval released a statement in which he pleads not to involve Schwartz in the hate they’ve been getting, writing, “Schwartz specifically only found out about this very recently, and most definitely did not condone my actions. This was a very personal thing.
