Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Marinating time: 30 minutes

Total time: 50 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2-4 Tuna steaks
  • ⅓ cup Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Finely chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon Finely chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin
  • ½ teaspoon Coarsely cracked black pepper – or ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Smoked paprika juice of half a lemon – about 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Whisk all the ingredients of the marinade together vigorously. Take a gallon-sized ziploc bag and place the tuna steaks inside.
  2. Pour the marinade into the bag and ensure that the tuna steaks are evenly coated. Squeeze out any excess air and seal the bag.
  3. Put the bag in the refrigerator and let the tuna marinate for 30 minutes.
  4. Afterward, grill the tuna steaks for 6 to 8 minutes on each side until it flakes easily with a fork and the center is barely pink. The internal temperature should be around 90 to 95 degrees when it’s fully cooked. Alternatively, you can sear the steaks in a skillet over medium-high heat, or broil them in the oven at 400 degrees.
