We all dream about being paid for being pretty, modeling for brands, and earning cash by promoting clothes and jewelry, but we can only dream of being Cara, sadly.

The diamond Bulgari choker necklace that Cara Delevingne wore on the red carpet at this year’s Academy Awards was one of the reasons she wowed. The model returned to the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday evening, days after announcing that she had been sober for four months following a time in rehab.

The star at the 95th Academy Awards wore a crimson gown with a thigh-high split by Elie Saab. She completed the ensemble with platform Stuart Weitzman heels, a sleek slicked-back hairdo, and eye-catching Bulgari jewelry.

A source reportedly told Page Six that Delevingne was paid over $241,000 (£200,000) to wear the expensive brand’s jewelry. In the middle of the diamond choker necklace worn by Delevingne was a snake head with an emerald eye.

Her diamond stud earrings also featured a tiny emerald. Delevingne opted for a subtle glam makeup look, which she achieved with $7 artificial lashes. Hung Vanngo, Delevingne’s makeup artist, said he used Ardell Knot-Free Individuals to create the model-turned-dramatic lashes.

“We aim to create a modern-classic, timeless movie star style for Cara’s Oscars 2023 appearance. I developed a monochromatic makeup look with big, natural lashes. I utilized knot-free short hairs for the inner half of the eyes and knot-free medium hairs for the outside half. In addition, I scattered a few short and medium singles throughout the design for added dimension.”

Cara Delevingne recently announced she attended treatment and is back and earning money as a model. During Delevingne’s first-ever Oscars, her hairstylist Danielle Priano told Marie Claire they wanted to channel true movie star enthusiasm.

This is after the paparazzi images leaked, and Delevingne revealed that several of her childhood friends came out to help her. Still, she found it difficult to accept their assistance. She said, “They ride with me, and I love my friends so much, but it often felt like our relationships were superficial because I couldn’t be open about what I was going through.”

“I did not wish to impose on anyone. It was also as if, What if individuals leave? If you ask any of my friends, they will tell you they have never witnessed me crying.” She then claimed of the photographs taken, “I hadn’t slept. I was not okay. It’s heartbreaking because I thought I was having a good time, but at some point, I realized, ‘Well, I don’t look good.'”

In September 2022, Delevingne realized she needed the support of her pals and began reaching out to individuals she had known since she was 13. She said, “You know, sometimes you need a reality check, so in a way, those photographs were a blessing.”

The model disclosed that when she checked herself into a mental health facility at the end of 2022, it was her first time seeing a therapist in three years, and that she had a lot of work to do to become sober.

Delevingne stated, “I pushed everyone away, which made me realize how horrible my situation was. I’ve always believed that work must be done when things are bad, but work must be done when times are good. The work must be performed consistently. It will never be completely fixed or healed, but I’m comfortable with it. That’s the difference.”

Cara Delevingne made her first public appearance since disclosing in an interview with Vogue earlier this month that she has been clean for four months. The actress and model entered rehab after paparazzi images of her at Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles last year showed her looking disheveled and distraught.

“All I knew was that if I continued down the path I was on, I would either end up dead or do something incredibly dumb,” she told Vogue, adding that she decided to get assistance after seeing images of herself and realizing she was in a terrible place.

Delevingne was pictured inside, mingling at the bar with fellow Academy Awards presenter Florence Pugh while remaining sober. A little spy said that when the model was offered a beverage, she politely declined and offered it to the audience. Instead, Delevingne was overheard requesting club soda and cranberry juice.
