Elden Ring
In Elden Ring, players are presented with almost endless options that could affect how the game plays out. While attempting to make sense of a world in disarray, players must choose which qualities to level up, which NPCs to influence with, and which weapon or playstyle suits them best. Although many of these choices may appear difficult to those who haven’t ventured into the Lands Between, they may often be changed or revised.
Elden Ring is more tolerant and forgiving in comparison to earlier FromSoftware games. A questline may not necessarily end if an NPC is not interacted with at a particular moment. Players can respec extremely early by utilizing Larval Tears, which can be found everywhere. Because of this, specializing in a specific build or selecting a particular weapon is relatively safe and won’t lock playthroughs.
In light of this, many players are still trying to decipher specific boss remembrances and whether to choose the weapon over the incantation option or vice versa. Axe of Godrick
Strength and Dexterity are the main scaling factors for this great solid axe. Players must have 34 Strengths and 22 Dexterity to use this weapon with one hand. Players can meet the level requirement by stacking attribute-boosting talismans. (1) However, doing so is not advised because the weapon scales damage based on Strength and Dexterity. Due to the two-handed weapon’s 50 percent Strength enhancement, players can utilize the weapon with as little as 24 Strengths.
This Greataxe’s unique weapon artwork reads, “I Command Thee, Kneel! It causes harm to those nearby by sending out an AoE shockwave or earthquake. It cannot be charged. Therefore Godrey’s Icon does not affect it. However, the Alexander Shard would boost its damage.
Grafted Dragon
The Grafted Dragon is the alternative. The primary scaling for this first weapon is Strength, but it also gives minor scaling for Dexterity and Faith. (2) Because the Grafted Dragon cannot be used with two hands, unlike the Axe of Godrick, 20 Strength is a complex requirement. Players must also have 14 Dexterity and 16 Faith to utilize this weapon.
Bear Witness! is the Grafted Dragon’s special weapon design. In this game, the player raises the Dragon to the skies and shoots fire in front of them. It is a fire-damage weapon art that deals relatively minor immediate damage.
Which is Better?
Those choosing between the two weapons should be aware that they can obtain both by acquiring an additional Remembrance of the Grafted from one of the Walking Mausoleums scattered around the Lands Between. Because there are only so many of these Mausoleums, players who want to use every boss weapon, skill, or armament must play through the game again using the same character by moving on to Journey No. 2.
