The TikTok star dies "suddenly" weeks after complaining of migraines.

Jehane Thomas, best known for her vlogs and parenting videos, has passed away at the age of 30. She had begun to detail a series of significant health concerns she was suffering prior to her passing. The mother of two, who was from Doncaster, was said to have “suddenly passed away” on Friday, March 17, just a few days after posting a photo of herself smiling on social media beside her kids, Isaac and Elijah.

Her death was later confirmed by her friend Alyx Reast through a GoFundMe account established to assist Jehane’s family, which consists of her two young sons. She wrote, “Jehane Thomas was a 30 year old, mum of two boys when she suddenly passed away on 17/03/2023. Despite suffering from migraines and bouts of illness for several months, her passing was totally unexpected and we are all absolutely heartbroken.”

Alyx added, “Her two children, Isaac (3, almost 4), and Elijah (1), have been left without their mum. I’ve started this page in the hope of raising some money so her beautiful boys can have the best childhood, make memories and make sure they are comfortable. Nothing will bring the boys their mum back, but we hope it will bring some relief to her family, knowing how loved and supported they are.”

After the passing of Issac and Elijah’s mother, Reast hopes to raise $15,000 in order to provide “some relief” to Thomas’s family and to provide Issac and Elijah with the “best childhood possible.” As of the 21st of March, the fundraising effort has already collected approximately 700 donations and has surpassed its initial goal of $12,000.

Thomas has more than 71,900 followers on the TikTok app, where she routinely documents the challenges she has with her health. In the months leading up to her passing, she disclosed that she had recently been diagnosed with optic neuritis, a disorder characterized by inflammation of the optic nerve.

Optic neuritis is a disorder that, as described by Johns Hopkins Medicine, takes place whenever the optic nerve becomes inflamed. The illness, which affects a person’s eyesight and can be painful, normally only affects one eye but has the potential to harm both eyes. There is no known reason why the condition occurs; however, those who have been told they have multiple sclerosis are more likely to be affected (MS).

According to her most recent video, Jehane was readmitted to the hospital after spending six days there the previous week in response to a fan remark asking for an update on her health. “I am still waiting to go down for surgery,” she captioned.

“The reason they didn’t do it last week was because having fluids in me would solve the issue. I have 4 liters of fluids in me and my head this morning is horrific.” She continued, “I’m waiting to see if I can take one of my Frovatriptan before surgery because no other pain relief is taking this pressure or if I need to ride it out and hope the surgery gives me instant relief.” She added, “I can’t lift my head without wanting to be sick and I’m unable to walk, I need to be wheeled everywhere. That’s how bad this pain is.”

She expressed similar emotions on Instagram on March 12, 2023, upon being released from the hospital and reunited with her sons. “It’s been a really challenging week, not just physically but mentally. I’ve missed these two so much and feel like they’ve both grown up so much whilst I’ve been away,” Jehane said.

“After sharing my experience, many of you have told me to go and speak to PALS which I’ll be doing in the morning. I’m then going to email my neurologist and see what plan of action he has in place because I cannot keep living like this.”  She added, “Thank you to everyone who has reached out but most importantly thank you to my parents and Liam for taking over the boys and the house for me, always making sure they were looked after.

“Thank you for making sure they knew mummy was okay and sending me pictures and videos to help me get through the longest days in the hospital without them.” Several people, including Jehane’s fans and relatives, send their condolences to her family at this time.
