Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 small head of Cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 Bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 Onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tsp Grated fresh ginger
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked.
  2. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet and toss everything together. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is wilted and slightly browned.
  5. Pour the soy sauce over the cabbage and beef mixture and toss everything together until well-coated—season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired, and serve hot.
