Here’s a secret: When your man can’t defend you, ask for his ex-girlfriend’s help, who you bully online, for you to earn sympathy on social media.

Following Hailey Bieber’s demand for Selena Gomez to help her address the threats and malicious messages she receives online, Hailey penned a hard thank you to Selena before continuing to clean her name and attempt to earn sympathy.

Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber

Hailey Bieber has broken her silence amid allegations of her supposed dispute with Selena Gomez, who dated her husband, Justin Bieber, in the past. The celebrity wrote a lengthy message on her Instagram Stories on Friday, March 24, 2023, praising Gomez for speaking out and noting that the two have been discussing how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and the singer for the past few weeks.

With this, Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber are raising white flags regarding their rumored drama. In a Friday Instagram story, Gomez urged her followers to cease their attacks on Hailey, stressing that she does not support hatred or bullying.

The following day, Hailey thanked the singer for her compliments on his Instagram story. She said the pair had been discussing how to move beyond the continuing narrative between the two.

“The last few weeks have been extremely difficult for everyone involved, and millions of people are witnessing so much hate surrounding this, which is extremely harmful,” wrote the model. While social media is an incredible way to connect with others and build community, events like this only divide people rather than bring them together.

Hailey’s statement arrived only hours after Gomez urged fans to stop tormenting the model on her IG Story after the former informed Selena that she had been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity.

According to an Instagram post by Gomez, Hailey informed her that she had received death threats and such hateful negativity. “No one should be subjected to hatred or bullying,” stated Gomez. “I have consistently campaigned for kindness and want this to end immediately.”

Hailey posted this message hours after Selena’s story: “Even though social media is a fantastic way to connect with others and establish community, such instances divide people further. Things can always be taken out of context and construed contrary to their original meaning. Myself included, we all need to be more mindful of what we post and say.”

In her account, she continued, “In the end, I believe that love will always be greater than hatred and negativity, and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion.”

Online people theorized that Gomez complimented TikToks dubbing Hailey and Kylie Jenner “mean girls” after some believed that the two were making fun of the singer’s recent eyebrow surgery.

Since 2018, Selena and Hailey have been repeatedly scrutinized and positioned as rivals following Justin’s marriage to Hailey Baldwin in September of that year, six months after his separation from Gomez in March. From 2010 through 2018, Bieber and Gomez had an on-again, off-again relationship that spanned seven years.

The online comments and assaults against both women have prompted several individuals to take sides. Following Selena’s thoughts in her campaign, Hailey urged followers, including herself, to post more thoughtfully and approach others respectfully and kindly.
