Ariana Madix will gain possession of the dog she previously shared with ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval during their nearly ten-year relationship. After it was revealed that the “Vanderpump Rules” star had an affair with their co-star Raquel Leviss, sources stated that Madix would retain the gray and white pit bull.
According to a source acquired by PEOPLE, “They got the dog together, but Ariana is more of a dog person. It belongs more to Ariana than to Tom. I cannot imagine her allowing Tom to remove or give away the dog.
“The dog is hers, and she intends to keep it,” according to a second source. Madix and Sandoval, who began dating in 2013, adopted the canine named Mya Moon in April 2020. She even created an Instagram account for the dog, which now has nearly 2,000 followers, and claims that Madix is the dog’s mother.
“They got the dog together, but Ariana prefers dogs. The dog is more Ariana’s than Tom’s, and I can’t imagine her letting him have it or giving it away.” Sharing a photo of the canine sleeping in a bed on her Instagram Story, she wrote, “Once upon a time, I had my pillow @mya.moon.madix.”
Sandoval’s representative said that Madix and Sandoval are deciding what to do with their San Fernando Valley, California, property as they continue to live together with their dog. According to the representative, this can only be resolved on the weekend. “They jointly own the house, and determining what will happen with it next will take time.”
In addition, Sandoval’s companion has stopped following him on the platform. Madix finally broke her silence earlier this month after learning that her longstanding boyfriend had been having an affair with Leviss for approximately six months.
After hearing the news, the reality star stated that she was devastated and heartbroken but thanked her friends and admirers for their outpouring of love and support. Madix was blindsided by the affair and had no idea there were problems between her and Sandoval.
Madix discovered the pair’s full-fledged affair on March 1 while attending Sandoval’s cover band’s concert, where he raved about respecting his ex-girlfriend. Sandoval and Leviss issued respective social media statements in response to the revelation of the full-blown scandal.
“I want to apologize to Ariana. I made errors, was self-centered, and made rash decisions that harmed someone I care about,” Sandoval wrote earlier this month. Leviss released a lengthy statement in which she blamed her addiction to love for the affair and pledged to do better.
She wrote, “I am reflecting on my decisions, speaking with a counselor, and learning about myself, such as my codependency patterns and addiction to being and feeling loved.”
