As they say, blood is thicker than water.
Upon returning to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Kim Richards is excited to assist her sisters, Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton, in reconciling. Kyle, who was also present, stated that Kim’s return to the program felt great.
Kim is optimistic about the prospects of her sisters, Kathy and Kyle. Fans of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” may recall that the two television personalities disagreed during Season 12’s group journey to Aspen. Still, Kim is optimistic that the family members will attempt to heal as they prepare to celebrate several exciting life events.
Kim stated, “It’s a great time. Babies are due, babies are being born, and nuptials are imminent. My daughter Whitney is getting married, and [Kyle’s] daughter [Farrah Aldjufrie] is also getting married. This would be a fun time for all of us to be together, but it’s putting a damper on things at present. However, we will make it through.”
She even desires that her siblings come together shortly, given the expansion of their families and the impending occurrence of several major life events. And she is not the only loved one who desires reconciliation between the sisters.
During a December appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen, Kyle’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, stated, “Eventually, the families will hopefully reunite.” Kyle herself also believes that the couple will eventually mend their relationship.
“We’re sisters.” In October 2022, she told E! News in a separate interview, “Everything will be fine. At the end of the day, we are family.” However, last October 2022, Kyle believed she could not fix her relationship with Kathy. The women’s vacation to Aspen dominated the conversation on the third and final installment of the “RHOBH” reunion.
After much discussion, Kyle began to cry. She stated, “I feel very caught in this situation. My sister is my sibling. My emotions were very hurt. I feel like I’m always the scapegoat in my household… I didn’t squat, and when this whole thing came out, it only made things worse and set us back.”
Later in the conversation, Kathy told her sister, “I’ve endured so much pain… I anticipated that our relationship would be deeper.” Kyle then asked Kathy, as the reunion episode approached its conclusion, why she was angry with her. Kathy stated that she did not wish to discuss it.
And then, host Cohen said, “Kyle, you’ve been weeping for quite some time. You are still extremely upset about everything involving your sibling. Do you believe that the two of you can sort this out?”
She replied, “I certainly hope so.” However, when Kyle later spoke with Dorit Kemsley about the dispute, things could have appeared promising. “You will fix it,” Kemsley assured a tearful Kyle.
Recently, Kyle and Kathy posed for a photo at the 31st Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party hosted by Elton John in Los Angeles. During the event, they were seated at separate tables. No significant changes have occurred since the reunion.
They remain silent. “No effort has been made to sit down and reconcile,” the source explained. “Kyle is focused on herself, and Kathy is doing the same. But they are family and always have and will always support one another.”
