Fans Have Mixed Reactions Over Dolores Catania And Her Drug Addict Character

This is one of the times when honesty does not make up for the crime.

Dolores Catania, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, shocked her admirers when she admitted to using Ozempic. Hopefully, Margaret Josephs will not refer to her as a disarrayed drug addict as she did to Jennifer Aydin earlier in the season.

Fans’ Twitter responses to the Bravolebrity’s confession were divided. One user described her Ozempic use as unhealthy and triggering. At the same time, another called it selfish in light of drug shortages for those who require the medication to treat Type 2 diabetes.

Others found Catania’s candor refreshing, and Bravo executive Andy Cohen was praised for not “buying into the whole new gym routine and watching what I eat BS that certain people in the franchise stand by.

They are heavily scrutinized on television, so they would take a weight loss peptide if available,” remarked one fan. In recent weeks, Catania’s co-stars have displayed their weight loss, with Jennifer Fessler alluding to Ozempic use in March.

Dolores explained her decision on Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live.” She said she jumped on the bandwagon and had been using semaglutide for weight loss for six weeks. Dolores added that every “RHONJ” cast member had used the substance.

She shifted the blame by saying, “I didn’t want to arrive at the reunion looking bigger than anyone else, so I joined the bandwagon.” Dolores also clarified that she would participate in another part of the Ozempics dubbed “Mounjaro.”

To be clear, these are not typically diet medications. Mounjaro and Ozempic are prescribed for treating Type 2 diabetes, and there have been shortages of medicines to treat this condition.

Marysol Patton, a veteran of the “Real Housewives of Miami,” also appeared on “WWHL” and described Mounjaro as “the fast forward to Skinnyville.” She termed it the enhanced version of Ozempic.

Unfortunately, to Jackie Goldschneider’s dismay, this weight loss trend is sweeping the “Real Housewives” world. While Dolores takes delight in telling the truth, the audience is unimpressed.
