James Brolin’s Early Life
On July 18, 1940, Craig Kenneth Bruderlin was born in Los Angeles, California. His father, Henry, was a builder, and his mother, Helen Sue, was a homemaker. Later, as a youngster in the mid-1950s, he started making 8mm films.

It was one of his defining moments when Brolin first met fellow student and actor Ryan O’Neal. Later, O’Neal invited Brolin to a casting agency after the two became friends while attending University High School in West Los Angeles.

He moved to Universal Studios in 1968, where he held auditions for the role of Marcus Welby, M.D., a co-star in the well-known medical drama. In 1983, he returned to television to appear in other famous series.
Additionally, in 1997, the actor even served as the host of the television program “Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction,” which featured five stories emphasizing the paranormal and supernatural. According to rumors, Jonathan Frakes approved the role following a previous season of the program.
