There is more to the show than the cheating issue
Katie Maloney talked to “Vanderpump Rules” fans who didn’t like how she was advertising season 10 after Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss were caught cheating. Ariana yells at Sandoval, and more bombshells are shown in new footage.
After Bravo released the midseason video on March 20, clips of Katie, 36, and Scheana Shay talking about the sneak peek were posted on the network’s Instagram account. The social media account asked, “How many times have you watched the #PumpRules Midseason Trailer?” The post showed the actress saying the following shows are “so good.”
In response, a fan wrote to Katie in the comments, “The rest of the season is so good? @musickillskate Seeing a friend go through a stressful event is good..?…Fun? Sad.” The troll got some harsh words from the host of the “You’re Gonna Love Me” show.
“If anyone’s rest of the season was hard, it was mine. You have to keep in mind that the scandal just happened. We shot our season during the summer. But I can say from a neutral point of view that it’s a great season,” Katie said. She and Tom Schwartz announced their breakup before season 10’s shooting began in the summer of 2022.
They had been together for more than a decade. As the cameras started rolling, it was revealed that the bar owner hooked up with Raquel at Scheana and Brock Davies’ wedding in August 2022.
This upset Katie because she had asked her ex-husband not to date anyone in their group of friends. In new season 10 footage, viewers saw Ariana Madix and Sandoval’s first talk after the news about his affair with Raquel broke earlier this month.
During a tense interview, Ariana told her ex-boyfriend that she wanted him to die. This was not long after they broke up after dating for nine years. This month, details of the scandal were confirmed.
This week, an insider shared that Bravo has been filming more material because of the scandal. “Since Wednesday night, the cameras haven’t stopped rolling. It’s not an exaggeration to say that this will be the most exciting season of Vanderpump Rules ever,” an insider shared after the breakup between the co-owner of TomTom and Ariana Grande.
On the other hand, Katie said that the affair didn’t surprise her.“I wasn’t shocked, but the details were shocking. I didn’t find it surprising that it was Raquel.” Katie made fun of Raquel’s relationship with Sandoval the same day.
She said this on Wednesday’s episode of the “Give Them Lala” show before talking about her problems with the California native from season 10. “I gave you every chance I could. I was so nice to you even though I didn’t have to be. You’re an idiot because you didn’t really step up, respect, or notice that. Instead, you walked all over it and threw up on it.”
On the other hand, Raquel said she was sorry to Ariana in public. “I want to apologize to Ariana, my friends, and the people who cared so much about our relationship for what I did and my decisions. There’s no reason I’m not a victim and must take responsibility for what I did. I’m sorry I hurt Ariana,” she wrote on Instagram on March 8.
After taking a short break from social media, Ariana broke her silence on Instagram on March 16. “Hi. How to start? I am grateful for all the love and support I’ve gotten from friends, family, and even people I’ve never met in the last two weeks. When I felt like I couldn’t even stand, you all gave me the strength to keep going and got me through the worst times of my life. It would be an understatement to say that I have been crushed and broken. But I know that I’m not alone in this.”
She went on: “So many of my closest friends are also hurting right now because of this loss and how betrayed they feel. I am so f—king lucky to have the best support system in the world, and I hope I can return to everyone for the love they have shown me. What doesn’t kill me better run, love, Ariana.”
