Fans can now rejoice at the comeback of reality TV Queen!
Hold onto your seats and pop your favorite champagne, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” fans, because Denise Richards, the American actress and former fashion model, has confirmed her return to the popular reality television series!
After leaving the show in 2020, the actress has confirmed that she will be returning to the series as a “friend of” the cast. In an interview with Variety, Denise stated that she had already begun filming a few episodes and added that she had accomplished much with her former co-stars.
After she was spotted at a cast dinner with fellow alum Camille Grammer last month, who hasn’t yet addressed rumors that she would appear in the forthcoming 14th season of the show, fans began to wonder about her comeback. And now it’s official: she is back.
As a matter of fact, her return happened spontaneously, something that Bravo and the production didn’t expect since they were unaware that she would be attending a screening hosted by fellow housewife Garcelle Beauvais.
“This all just happened recently on the spur of the moment,” Richards explained. “I was at her screening as a friend — like a real friend — I didn’t tell anyone I was gonna be there. Production didn’t know. I just showed up, like, for real life, as a real friend in real life.”
She continued, “The next day, I was asked to go to some events — and so it’s been actually fun.” While gushing about her comeback, the actress also reflected something about her exit in 2020, mainly her feud with Lisa Rinna.
“When I left after my second season, I just felt as though some of the women were very toxic, and they played so dirty,” she added. “I understand there has to be drama, but I also think it’s fun to see women having fun, especially this age group.”
“I also think it’s great to show you can have fun. But I don’t think it’s a positive message to try and tear people down. You can have your opinions, but don’t try to tear people down. I don’t think it’s right. I mean, that part I don’t like.”
As you may know, Denise was someone Rinna introduced to the group, and their friendship ended when Denise refuted claims that she had an affair with Brandi Glanville while still married to Aaron Phypers.
Richards then concluded her statement by saying that she might not join or chime in for any drama that will explode in the show’s upcoming season, saying, “I feel like I didn’t get sucked into it.”
“I truly was myself on the show. And I think some of the women are different on camera and off camera. And I think you know what? Don’t self-produce. Just be yourselves. You get a group of six to eight [to] 10 women together. Your drama will come up authentically. Leave it at that and have fun with it.”
Denise’s announcement has been welcomed with considerable delight by the show’s viewers, who anxiously await her comeback. Given the cast changes, many fans have been unsure what to anticipate from the forthcoming season; however, Denise’s return will liven things up.
