Her regret comes with wishing that she had been more authentic.

Carole Radziwill, former cast member of “The Real Housewives of New York City” and a journalist, has revealed that she regrets making herself appear “smaller” on the show in order to fit in.

Radziwill, who is a former ABC News journalist and married into the Kennedy family, stated that she avoided talking about her experiences in war zones and refugee camps, mainly being in Afghanistan during the war or spending time in refugee camps in Cambodia to fit in with the other cast members.

In addition, Radziwill, who joined the hit reality program in season five, admitted that she had never seen the show before joining and that she had never been among women who spoke or drank in the same ways as the other housewives. Because of that, she expressed despair for not being more genuine and claimed that she would have been more intimidating if she had discussed her experiences.

The “RHONY” alum also discussed her close friends, including the late John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, whom she called “the equivalent of what they now call a girl’s girl.” In fact, before “authenticity” became a buzzword, Bessette-Kennedy, in Radziwill’s opinion, was authentic.

In spite of her regrets, Radziwill may get another chance to add additional depth to the program because she will be appearing on “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” on Peacock. She even expressed excitement over going to each city with the “coolest, most fun chick” of the show but claimed that she doesn’t know who that is because she doesn’t watch the program.

The regret that Radziwill expressed for not being her own self on “The Real Housewives of New York City” serves as a reminder that women don’t have to downplay their abilities or conceal their successes in order to blend in.

Despite it, she has no intention of slowing down anytime soon and eagerly anticipates the following projects that will enable her to be herself. If Radziwill will discover the “coolest, most fun chick” to accompany her on the excursion is still up in the air for “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” on Peacock.
