She candidly opens up about her struggles with motherhood.
In one of the “Mom Confessions” segments for The Ellen Show, Khloé Kardashian, the well-known reality TV personality, talked about her parenting style and expressed her worries about her 5-year-old daughter, True, picking up one specific trait from her.
As children grow up, parents often notice the emergence of inherited characteristics, and Kardashian is no exception. During the interview, Kardashian revealed that she considers herself to be one of the stricter parents among her sisters.
She called her parenting style “militant,” stressing the significance of following a routine. She thinks it’s important for her child to follow a strict schedule because it can keep things in check. She agreed that not all of her siblings were as strict as she was, but she didn’t say which ones.
“I am really strict. I have a schedule. I’m very militant with how I parent True. I believe that a schedule saves everything. Not all of my siblings are the same. I will not tell you which ones,” she said.
Kardashian has already spoken about the importance of scheduling and her parenting style. Early in November, she said in an interview with Cosmopolitan UK, “I try and take her to every gymnastics class, and I schedule things around her schedule – I live and die by a schedule!”
“Every single day, everything is accounted for, and that gives me a sense of peace because there are typically no surprises. My mom has always been regimented, so I definitely get that from her.”
In addition to being a proponent of schedules, Kardashian is recognized for her remarkable organizing abilities. Through social media pictures, she has already displayed her organized pantry, refrigerator, and closet. To address Kardashian’s extreme organizational urge, some family members have even proposed that she go to counseling.
Even though Kardashian generally praises this quality, she expressed sadness that True seemed to have inherited her knack for organization. She acknowledged feeling “bad” about it in the “Mom Confessions” video and said that her kid already has a strong need for orderliness at such a young age.
“I don’t want that for True, but she already has so much of that. I feel bad that she has so much of it so young, but every toy has to be put back exactly where she got it from—not from me, that’s what she does. I always just try to mess things up and tell her, ‘It’s OK to live in a mess.’ Although I’m cringing inside, I don’t want her to cringe.”
Despite the difficulties of parenthood, Kardashian is still excited about growing her family. She wants True to have the same experience she had growing up in a big household.
The reality star stated earlier in 2021 on The Ellen Show’s “Lady Parts” segment that she thought having siblings was a privilege since they offer companionship and support throughout life, especially in trying times.
“I have so many brothers and sisters,” she stated. “I think it’s such a blessing—especially during these times—to have a family member or people that you can play with and rely on and just have a buddy through life.”
