Biden, who is supposed to protect and defend the welfare of his people, seems to betray the nation as Americans remain unrescued in the hands of the Taliban.
It hasn’t been long since Biden’s last speech concerning the evacuation of Americans from the territory now occupied by the Taliban, Afghanistan. “We’re in constant contact with the Taliban, working to ensure civilians have safe passage to the airport,” Biden said during his address last Friday.
“We’re particularly focused on engagements on making sure every American who wants to leave can get to the airport.”
Also, during the press conference, Biden insisted that the US had not received any reports that Americans had been denied entry to Hamid Karzai International Airport in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul.
The uttered remarks seemed simple and calm, but Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said otherwise. After Biden’s speech in the White House last Friday, Austin told House members in a briefing that the Americans trapped in Afghanistan were beaten by Taliban fighters when they tried to leave, Politico reported on Friday. According to multiple sources, Austin told the House, “We’re aware that some people including Americans have been harassed and beaten by the Taliban.”

“This is unacceptable, and [we] made it clear to the designated Taliban leader,” told Austin.
On Saturday, the US Embassy in Kabul urges Americans not to travel to the Kabul airport unless they have received “individual instructions from a US government representative.” There have been warnings about potential attacks by the Islamic State (ISIS) from the gates outside the airport.
However, it is important to ask, did Biden not know the latest news on Afghanistan, or did he and his administration mislead the public?
