Ariana Grande joined NBC’s “The Voice” as a coach for the upcoming 21st season along with Blake Shelton, John Legend, and the “American Idol” alum, Kelly Clarkson.
The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon opened up about the upcoming season of The Voice with Ariana Grande as a new judge and Kelly immediately gushes about it.
“I love her. We’d actually run into each other a couple times before, but not really, like, you know, been able to, like, talk.” Kelly shared.
“She’s so funny,” Kelly said which Jimmy in an instant agreed, “like very witty. Like, in the beginning, even, like, behind the scenes, like, she wasn’t like using a lot of her materials she could’ve used out there, and then I feel like slowly towards the knockouts – Like, we’ve already taped everything up to the lives, and she’s hysterical. Like, very witty.”
She added how Ariana Grande is into vocal health, “We’ve never had a coach like her. I’ve only been there for eight seasons but, in all my seasons, I’ve never heard a coach talk about vocal health as much and I’m like, “I guess we should have mentioned that.””
During the interview, Kelly additionally uncovered how the live crowd bet everything in cheering Ariana Grande when she went into the room and how Blake inquired as to whether he could enter before Ariana as it was nearly ‘embarrassing’ to go after the pop star.
“When Ariana enters, literally, it’s like BTS entered the building Like, they lose their minds. And then Blake has to follow it, so he comes out, and they’re just, like, clapping.”
