Scheana Shay's Net Worth

As of June 2022, Scheana Shay’s net worth is $2 million. Her career as an actress and reality TV star is her primary source of income. The Hollywood Reporter listed her Vanderpump Rules salary (1) for the first two seasons to be around $10,000 before signing a $25,000 per episode contract. She appeared in a total of 147 episodes.

Shay’s wealth is also increasing from her YouTube channel, which has amassed 57,000 followers and has an average of 18,000 views per video. The channel focuses on the ups and downs of her personal and professional life. Accumulated profit from hosting engagements, club appearances, and live performances contributed to her increasing net worth. As a famous public figure, her paid public appearances, ranging from $15,000 to $20,000, play a vital part in her impressive net worth.

Scheana’s notable net worth includes earnings from her singing career, which brings in a steady income from music royalties. Her modeling and entrepreneurial endeavor with her “Boy Crazy” merchandise line have significantly added to her net worth. As an influencer, she has promoted brands such as FashionNova, Veux Sunglasses, Shein, Nasty Gal, and White Fox. On June 6, 2022, Shay was announced as hair product specialists brand ME Cosmetics’ first-ever ambassador.

Scheana Shay’s net worth is centered on her pricey two-bedroom apartment in Marina del Rey and her 1,972 square foot vacation house in Palm Springs, California. The $725,000 (2) three-bedroom and three-bathroom home on a golf course, which she shares with her fiancé Brock Davies and their daughter Summer Moon Davies, features a swimming pool, chef’s kitchen, and outdoor fire pit.

Scheana Shay's Early Life

Scheana Marie Jancan, famously known as Scheana Shay, is 37 years old. She was born on May 7, 1985. Scheana was born in West Covina, Los Angeles County, California, United States of America, raised by her parents, stepfather Ron van Olphen and Erika van Olphen, a former property manager. Not much is known about her biological father besides that he is Mexican and left her mother before Scheana was born. She’s of Irish, Polish, Rusyn, German, and Croatian descent on her mother’s side.

As an active kid, Scheana broke her nose twice. She got a cat scratch fever at age seven after an accident involving a cat. She was baptized and raised Catholic and has a birthmark on the iris of her left eye.

Shay was an intelligent child who was allowed to skip third grade (3). She was the only girl on her school’s all-boys baseball team for four years. Her talent in baseball seemed to have been passed down to her by her great aunt Shirley, who was a member of the Rockford Peaches in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. She later became a softball pitcher and cheerleader before graduating high school.

Scheana has one sibling, a half-sister named Cortney Erin van Olphen (4). She works as an executive assistant for a domestic stock company. Cortney resides in the Los Angeles area and remains close to Scheana.

Scheana Shay's Education

Scheana Shay attended Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, California. She skipped third grade in elementary school and graduated with honors at 17 with the Class of 2002. She participated in sports activities at school, having played baseball and softball and as one of the school’s cheerleaders.

In 2006, Shay graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Azusa Pacific University (5). She credits her degree and experience to producing her show on YouTube and her podcast.

Scheana Shay's Boyfriend and Family Life

Scheana Shay is engaged to marry Australian entrepreneur Brock Davies. They met through a mutual friend at a music festival, with Brock having no idea of Scheana’s celebrity status. Despite her reputation, she credits her relationship with Davies as her third serious relationship following her long-term relationships with ex-boyfriend Rob Valletta and ex-husband Mike Shay. Scheana’s colorful love life is peppered with various flings, including Adam Spott and Max Boyens.

On October 28, 2020, Scheana and Brock happily announced that they were expecting their first child together. This miracle happened after the pair suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage a few months before the announcement. On April 26, 2021, Davies and Shay’s “rainbow baby”, Summer Moon Honey Davies, was born. Summer has been the center of Scheana’s life since she intricately documented her pregnancy and motherhood on her social media platforms, YouTube channel, and podcast. She disclosed that Vanderpump Rules co-star Tom Sandoval is the only SURver she trusts to babysit her daughter. In a May 14, 2021 episode of Scheananigans with Scheana Shay, Scheana relayed her labor experience before delivering Summer. She revealed that she was diagnosed with a pregnancy complication called pre-eclampsia, and HELLP Syndrome, a life-threatening complication related to pre-eclampsia. Shay attributes her scary pregnancy and delivery experience to her difficulty keeping a baby. After her divorce from Michael Shay and losing hope of finding true love, Scheana decided to freeze her eggs. She underwent two egg retrieval procedures where she was instructed to stop drinking, having sex, and smoking marijuana. Her doctor was able to harvest 12 eggs from the two procedures successfully.

In July 2021, Brock Davies proposed to Scheana Shay on the balcony of their Marina del Ray apartment. The proposal featured gold and white balloons and a customized Marry Me arch. Davies proposed with a Kyle Chan-designed 12-carat morganite engagement ring (6) surrounded by small white diamonds on the band. In May 2022, Shay announced that she and the former rugby player would be getting married in Mexico for their long-awaited destination wedding. The couple initially planned to marry in Bali, Indonesia, where they first took a trip as a couple, but that plan fell through due to the availability of the venue.

Scheana and Brock’s relationship has not always been sunshine and roses. During season 9 of Vanderpump Rules, Brock confessed to cast member Lala Kent and then-fiancé Randall Emmett that he hasn’t seen his two older children from his first marriage for four years. He also admitted that he’s been charged with domestic violence by his ex-wife and that although the charge was dropped, he’s behind on child support payments. These revelations caused an issue within the cast, but Scheana assured her co-stars and fans that she knows her fiancé’s past (7) and accepts him for who he is. She acknowledged that it was tough to deal with the criticisms, but they had an agreement that they would not discuss Brock’s past to protect his older kids’ and ex-wife’s privacy.

On May 28, 2022, Scheana found herself in hot waters after making a post promoting a sex toy line. The caption contained an innuendo that mentioned her daughter Summer’s name, which fans did not take lightly. Scheana changed the caption after being called out.

Before dating Brock Davies, Scheana Shay was married to Michael Shay. The pair met in high school when she was a cheerleader, and Michael played for the Bishop Amat High School football team. Following a six-month-long engagement, they married on July 27, 2014, at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California. Michael and Scheana announced their separation in November 2016 after Scheana revealed that Michael had been cheating on her while stealing her money to fund his drug addiction. When their divorce was finalized in April 2017, the judge ordered Scheana to pay Michael $50,000 as a divorce settlement.

Scheana Shay’s personal life has been an open book, so it was not a surprise when she admitted to being part of a throuple relationship (8) with The Hills cast member Stacie Adams and singer John Mayer. Shay revealed that she first met Mayer in 2008 when he was still dating Friends actress Jennifer Aniston. Scheana added that she was working as a waitress in The Grand Havana Room when Mayer introduced himself. Mayer reconnected with her after his break-up with Aniston, and she brought in Adams to be part of their sexual relationship. The arrangement only lasted six months.

Unfortunately, Shay’s claim to fame is due to a scandal in 2010. She was revealed to be Eddie Cibrian’s mistress by Cibrian’s then-wife and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville. Cibrian told Scheana that he was single when they started dating, but he was still married to Glanville, who was pregnant at the time of the affair. Brandi and Scheana attempted to be friends and move on from experience in season 3 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. They are not close friends, but they remain civil with each other.

Scheana Shay's Career

After graduating from Azusa Pacific University in 2006, Scheana Shay left Azusa, California, to pursue a career in broadcast journalism and entertainment. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, California, she quickly got a waitressing job at Hooters. However, this experience proved traumatic. She was one of the female employees who filed a lawsuit (9) against ex-manager Juan Aponte for secretly filming the waitresses while changing their clothes after their job interviews.

Scheana moved on from experience by continuing to audition for acting roles while working as a waitress. She managed to get an uncredited role as a bar patron in an episode of the MTV reality TV series “The Hills” (2006). She began obtaining guest appearance roles in television shows, starting with “Greek” (2007), “Jonas” (2009), “90210” (2010), and “Victorious” (2011). In 2012, Shay was cast to play Angel Tomlin in three episodes of the crime-drama-mystery anthology “Femme Fatales”.

Scheana Shay got her big break when Vanderpump Rules debuted on the Bravo network in 2013. As a regular cast member, she was afforded the luxury of putting her acting aspirations in the backseat. Scheana got to explore her talent in singing and was able to release several dance-pop singles such as “Good as Gold”, “What I Like”, and “Better Without You”. For her single “Shake That”, Shay collaborated with her Vanderpump Rules co-star, DJ James Kennedy. The song was co-produced by her then-husband, Michael Shay.

2018 proved to be a banner year for Scheana. She relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, after securing a starring role in the Las Vegas stage show “Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man”. In March 2018, she launched her Scheananigans with Scheana Shay podcast on PodcastOne. The first episode featured fellow Pump Rules cast member Ariana Madix. She also started vlogging through her YouTube channel and Patreon page.

As a savvy entrepreneur and influencer, Scheana Shay capitalized on her celebrity status through her Boy Crazy merchandise and by partnering with multiple brands such as White Fox, Veux Sunglasses, FashionNova, Shein, and Nasty Gal. On June 6, 2022, Shay was announced as ME Cosmetics’ ambassador (10). She confessed that negative comments on her hair after Summer’s birth pushed her to seek a hair product that would solve her hair problems, and she found ME Cosmetics products to be the solution.

Vanderpump Rules Storyline for Scheana Shay

In 2013, Scheana Shay was announced as one of the six lead cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spin-off Vanderpump Rules. Other cast members include Tom Sandoval, Katie Maloney, Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder, and Jax Taylor. The reality series debuted on the Bravo network and was considered a smash hit due to Lisa Vanderpump’s star power. All six cast members worked as SURvers at Vanderpump’s SUR Restaurant & Lounge in West Hollywood, California. The Andy Cohen-produced show followed the lives of Lisa Vanderpump’s employees as they worked through the ups and downs of their relationships and aspiring showbiz careers.

Scheana’s introduction during the show’s first season proved very difficult. Having been revealed as Eddie Cibrian’s mistress in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she was greeted with the cold shoulder by her fellow SURvers. Headed by SUR queen bee Stassi Schroeder, Shay was treated with distrust and hostility. Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney allied with Stassi to harass and start rumors around Scheana, which didn’t let up as the series progressed.

In season two, Scheana gets engaged to her boyfriend, Mike Shay, after six months of dating. By season three, despite the continued harassment from her female co-stars, Mike and Scheana get married. Scheana wore a crop-top wedding dress that she had designed. The wedding ended violently after Kristen punched her drunk boyfriend, James Kennedy.

Season four featured The Shay’s marriage crumbling amidst Mike’s womanizing, alcoholism, and drug addictions (11). Scheana tried her best to keep it together, but before season five was over, the couple got divorced. Season six highlighted Shay’s journey as a newly-divorced woman. She began having a lot of flings but eventually settled down to date Rob Valletta. Scheana became obsessed with Rob, which caused tension among the cast, enough for them to call Scheana “Boy Crazy”. By season seven, things between Rob and Scheana turned sour, and the couple broke up. Scheana started dating SUR bar-back Adam Spott and moved to Marina del Rey. After her break-ups with Spott and SUR manager Max Boyens, Shay began thinking about her future and dream of motherhood. She decided to seek a fertility clinic to have her eggs preserved. She went through two egg retrieval procedures which made her stop doing her drinking and smoking marijuana vices. The abstinence caused her behavioral changes, which caused tensions and fights with her colleagues.

Season eight explored her relationship with Brock Davies. Scheana became pregnant naturally and decided to focus her attention and energy on her pregnancy. After the end of season eight, Vanderpump Rules editor Bri Dellinger (12) revealed on the Twisted Plot Podcast that she deliberately made Scheana look bad on the show because she has a personal vendetta against her. Bri admitted that she made it a point to cut scenes on the show to make Scheana look like the instigator of fights. Her hatred towards Scheana started because Scheana did not befriend her during one of the show’s wrap parties. This scandalous revelation resulted in Dellinger’s firing from the reality series.

The conflict between the couple and the rest of the cast occupied the entirety of season nine after Brock confessed to co-star Lala Kent and her then-fiancé Randall Emmett about his past. Davies and Shay moved back to San Diego for winter and spring and decided to invite Pump Rules co-star Raquel Leviss to stay in their LA apartment after her break-up with James Kennedy. On May 12, 2022, Bravo announced that they are renewing Vanderpump Rules for another season. As one of the show’s original cast members, Scheana is expected to be part of the upcoming season.
