Tom Schwartz's Net Worth

As of May 2022, Tom Schwartz’s total net worth is $4 million. His careers as a reality TV star and restaurateur are his primary source of income. The Hollywood Reporter listed his Vanderpump Rules salary (1) for the first two seasons to be around $3,000 before signing a $25,000 per episode contract when he joined the cast in season three. He appeared in a total of 81 episodes.

Schwartz’s co-ownership of TomTom Restaurant & Bar, where he has a 5% ownership stake, contributes to his increasing net worth. His net worth also includes profit from hosting engagements and club appearances. He reportedly charges $10,000 to $20,000 per public appearance.

Tom Schwartz’s growing net worth includes earnings from his modeling career. His spirits business with best friend Tom Sandoval, Toms’ Good Lovin’, and their upcoming new bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s, has significantly added to his net worth. Tom’s $1.925 million Valley Village house (2) that he shares with soon-to-be-ex-wife Katie Maloney-Schwartz is vital to his remarkable net worth.

Tom Schwartz's Early Life

Thomas William Schwartz, known as Tom Schwartz, is 39 years old. He was born on October 16, 1982. Tom was born in Woodbury, Minnesota, United States of America, of Swedish, German, Luxembourgish, and English descent. His parents are William C. Schwartz and Kimberly Sue Schwartz.

Schwartz was initially raised in Woodbury, a suburb of Minnesota’s capital city St. Paul, before the family moved to Akron, Ohio, eventually settling down in North Florida. The Twin Cities native had a relatively normal childhood. He fondly remembers his mom dropping him to hang out with friends in the local Mall of America, where he admittedly made a lot of mischief like going into elevators to crack stink bombs (3) and dropping bouncy balls off the top floor of the mall.

(4) in 2011. On November 15, 2010, Kimberly Sue filed for divorce from William. They have been separated since June 5, 2010. The couple settled their divorce quickly but agreed not to enter into final judgment until the following year. The divorce was tough for Tom’s parents, and they decided to file for bankruptcy in April 2012.

Tom Schwartz has been in a relationship with fellow Vanderpump Rules co-star Katie Maloney-Schwartz since 2010. They met before the show was conceptualized. Tom and Katie got engaged in the summer of 2015 in Los Angeles, California but were not married until a year later.

Schwartz and Maloney first got married on August 17, 2016, at the Twenty Mile House in Cromberg, California, in front of family and friends. The wedding cost around $51,058 (6) and had a “woodsy elegance” theme. Officiated by Vanderpump Rules boss Lisa Vanderpump, the wedding was filmed as a centerpiece for the show’s fourth season. The marriage was considered unofficial because the couple did not formally file the paperwork until July 25, 2019, after obtaining a marriage license and performing their second wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On March 15, 2022, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz announced their split in separate Instagram posts. Katie filed for divorce at the Los Angeles Superior Court a week later, citing “irreconcilable differences”. Katie listed their separation as February 12, 2022. “The Bubbas”, as fans call the couple, maintained that they remain friends and will continue to support each other. Tom expressed his disappointment over the end of their twelve-year relationship, admitting that he takes responsibility for the breakdown of their marriage. Katie noted that she opted out of the marriage because she felt that her needs were not being met (7) and that they had outgrown each other.

Tom and Katie continue to live together in their 3,442 square foot modern farmhouse-style house in the Valley Village, which they plan to sell as soon as their divorce is finalized. The home, which the couple bought in 2019, features four bedrooms and four-and-half bathrooms.

Tom Schwartz's Career

Tom Schwartz is one of the primary cast members of the Andy Cohen produced Bravo! reality television series Vanderpump Rules. He joined the show in season three and has been a mainstay ever since.

Before working in the entertainment industry, Tom was part of the wine and spirit trade. His experience in the industry helped him develop a genuine interest and appetite for wine and spirits. This passion came in handy when he and his best friend, Tom Sandoval, partnered with Pump Rules boss Lisa Vanderpump to open TomTom Restaurant & Bar in West Hollywood, California. In late 2021, “The Toms” revealed that they are co-owners and co-creators of Tom’s Good Lovin’ (8), a bourbon and rye spirit with port wine and hints of vanilla, praline, caramel, and raisins.

In 2011, Tom Schwartz had an uncredited acting role in the HBO television series “True Blood”. Another uncredited role followed this role in the comedy television series “Two and a Half Men” in 2013, where he played an Italian exchange student. Tom has also made a lot of appearances as himself on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen”, “Summer House”, “Vanderpumped”, and “KitchenAid”.

Apart from acting and being a reality tv star, Tom is also a model. He began modeling in his teens for fashion shows in Mall of America. His modeling career is mainly composed of commercial print work and fashion shows. Tom admitted that Vanderpump Rules co-stars Tom Sandoval and Jax Taylor helped him start his modeling career (9). Tom Schwartz is a passionate animal rights activist and has used his social media influencer status to raise awareness for animal rights. He has openly supported animal rights fundraisers and efforts to stop China’s yearly Yulin Dog Festival. He is a spokesperson for the “A is for Animal” campaign, which offers a range of clothing apparel to raise funding for numerous animal rights charities. The Toms are currently busy furnishing plans to launch their new bar, Schwartz and Sandy’s, in the Franklin Village area of Hollywood, California.

Vanderpump Rules Storyline for Tom Schwartz

Tom Schwartz initially appeared on Vanderpump Rules as Katie Maloney’s boyfriend and close friend of Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR Restaurant & Lounge staff. He sporadically appeared in episodes for the first two seasons of the show. His most memorable scene from the second season involved him pouring his beer on his girlfriend Katie when she got drunk and irrationally angry at everyone during a trip to Mexico.

After season two, Tom was made series regular. Lisa opened a new bar, PUMP, where she hired Tom to be the new bartender. Tom suffered a panic attack during his first shift, so Lisa decided to fire him. By season’s end, Schwartz admitted to Katie that he cheated on her. Katie forgave him but gave him an engagement ultimatum to test his commitment. Tom gave her a comical ring on a string which the show’s fans found insincere. The two got engaged (10) by the end of season four.

Season five was exceptional for Tom as he and Katie prepared for their wedding. Tom asked Katie for a pre-nuptial agreement but got cold feet. Lisa Vanderpump saw the potential of The Toms and agreed to partner with them. Sandoval and Schwartz offered to buy in the bar’s partnership with $50,000 each for a 5% ownership stake. Katie and Tom brought the Pump Rules group to New Orleans for their joint bachelor and bachelorette party. Fights ensued with a drunk Katie and the show’s boys ending up getting dressed in drag. Jax Taylor and Tom Sandoval surprised Tom by flying out his triplet brothers to attend his wedding with Katie. Lisa Vanderpump officiated The Bubbas’ wedding in Twenty Mile House, and they later honeymooned in Bora Bora.

Tom Schwartz spent season six preparing TomTom for its launch and opening. Lisa wasn’t impressed with The Toms horsing around and told them off. By season seven, The Toms invited the cast to Mexico to party before launching TomTom with Lisa. Tom and Katie have their worst argument over Tom getting upgraded to first class and not being a gentleman to give up his seat for his wife. He spent season eight trying to juggle his marriage and helping run TomTom.

Season nine featured The Toms deciding to open their bar without Lisa Vanderpump. She gave them her blessing, thinking it’ll help them mature as businessmen. Katie Maloney and Tom Sandoval spent the whole season being at odds with each other, and Sandoval attributed it to Schwartz keeping him and Katie at odds with each other. Things between Katie and Sandoval were so tense that they repeatedly got involved in screaming matches against each other. The Toms had a deal with each other to keep their significant others off their business, but Schwartz let Katie get involved. As of April 2022, The Toms are still friends and business partners and are gearing up to open Schwartz & Sandy’s (11)
