Danielle Staub (born Beverly Ann Merrill on July 29, 1962) is a television personality in the United States. She rose to notoriety in May 2009 after being cast as a primary cast member on the reality television series The Real Housewives of New Jersey for two seasons (2009-10), and then as a friend for three more seasons (2017-20). In the 1980s, she went as the alias Angela Minnelli.

Staub is also a philanthropist, an author, and a media figure. Staub has made guest appearances on a variety of shows, including the long-running ABC serial opera “All My Children,” the Style Network comedy “The Dish,” and other shows. Staub also appeared in the VH1 culinary reality show “Famous Food,” that depicted eateries being completely rebuilt which gave her equity in the now-defunct West Hollywood restaurant Lemon Basket. Since the age of 17, Staub has worked in theater, television, and modeling.

Danielle Staub's Net Worth

In 2021, Danielle Staub’s net worth is estimated to be $500,000. Staub has enjoyed a long career in the entertainment industry and her career as a tv personality is her main source of income. (1)

While she may not be in the finest position financially now, Staub was previously married to a wealthy man who valued her at $3.5 million. However, it has all vanished since then, and fans are baffled as to why.

Danielle was rumored to have listed a mansion in New Jersey for $1.495 million in 2009. The Tudor-style home, which is located in Wayne’s upscale Horizon Heights area, has 10,500 square feet of living space and seven bedrooms. A billiard area, a fireplace, a wet bar, and a cabana are among the other amenities. The property was originally purchased for $1.025 million by Staub and her ex-husband in 1998. It was suggested at the time that the sale of this residence was linked to her divorce settlement, which had only recently been finalized.

Danielle’s financial situation worsened when she filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2011. She said that she was $1.9 million in debt and had only made $63,791 that year, the most of which came from her appearance on VH1’s ‘Famous Food,’ which featured Staub and a number of other reality TV personalities, including Mike Boogie from ‘Big Brother’ and Heidi Montag from ‘The Hills.’

Danielle’s income had dried up, prompting her to make cameo appearances in a variety of adult films before returning to ‘RHONJ.’ Staub participated on ‘The Real Housewives’ for the last three seasons as a “friend of,” but she has vowed that she will never return to the show. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Danielle Staub is now $1 million in debt as a result of all that has happened over the last decade.

Danielle Staub's Early Life

Danielle Staub is 59 years old. She was born on July 29, 1962. Danielle was born as Daniella and then her name was changed to Beverly Ann Merill by her adoptive parents. Staub was adopted and raised in Pennsylvania after being born to a 15-year-old Sicilian mother. “The memory goes back as far as 8 years old. By 11, I started fighting back,” she wrote in her memoirs The Naked Truth, describing how she was sexually molested by several relatives. (2)

When her mother became pregnant as an unmarried teenager, her immediate family was thrown into chaos and discord. The Russos (her birth mother’s maiden name was Russo, according to what she was told) were a powerful, wealthy, and socially prominent family in Sicily — so powerful, in fact, that I was informed the family was “connected” in the genuine sense of the word. Her father was said to have been murdered for getting her mother pregnant when she was 14, and her father was 19.

She didn’t need to be told she was adopted by her adoptive mother and father. She came up with the conclusion on her own. “I don’t look like you,” she declared matter-of-factly to her mother when she was five years old, sitting on the couch in the living room. I don’t behave in the same way that you do. I don’t speak in the same manner as you. I have no resemblance to anyone in my family. Who am I, exactly? Her mother then confirmed that she had been adopted. While knowing this was beneficial for her, she was bullied by the other kids in my kindergarten class since she was adopted.

According to her biography, Danielle’s birth mother hailed from a wealthy Italian family and had Danielle with a wealthy guy from a rival family. She was born into a large, devout Catholic household. The norms of the Catholic Church were highly stringent and unquestionably observed in those days, especially in Italy. Pregnancies outside of marriage were frowned upon. If a lady had an unmarried child, she and her entire family would be shunned and despised by the community; they would even be excommunicated from the Church. Her birth grandparents were so upset they sent Danielle’s birth mother to America to give birth and put the baby up for adoption. That, according to Danielle, is why she has such good taste: as a toddler, she knew first-class passengers board first, she understood how to play baccarat, and she knew how to create Italian delicacies from scratch without any prior experience.

In the past, she has talked about why she changed her name from Beverly to Danielle; it was because of her conviction due to her troubled youth. But in one episode of her podcast, she opened up about the trauma and damage that the name Beverly inflicts on her as it takes her back to the time when she was molested.

Danielle Staub's Education

Danielle Staub did not have the chance to attend college because of her troubled past. She was a convict and had been a part of crimes as a high schooler.

However, she made it a point to see to it that her daughters get the best education possible because of this dark past of hers.

Danielle Staub from The Real Housewives of New Jersey is known for her multiple engagements and marriages. Danielle Staub has added two more engagements to her list of previous lovers since she rose to popularity. This takes her total engagements to 21. Three of the 21 engagements resulted in marriage. Her first spouse, Kevin Maher, was Danielle’s first husband before she became Danielle Staub. According to eCelebritySpy, the former couple wedded in October 1986 although he was still married to another lady. Maher was a former FBI informant who married Danielle at the tender age of 24. According to People, after barely a year of marriage, the couple decided it wasn’t going to work out and filed for divorce. Kevin and Danielle had an unhealthy relationship for the majority of their time together. They made some outrageous claims about one other after they decided to split. Kevin admitted that he and Danielle did not go a day without consuming cocaine. Danielle then accused him of being abusive, accusing him of physical abuse, rape, and murdering their dog. and brandishing a weapon at her Kevin retaliated, accusing her of being mentally ill, violent, nymphomaniac, physically abusive, and a compulsive liar. He admitted to being violent only when she was violent with him.

Danielle’s accusations prompted Maher to file a $5 million defamation lawsuit against her. Kevin has been open about his past in his biography, “Cop Without A Badge.”

Danielle married her second husband, Thomas Staub, six years after her divorce from Maher. The couple had two daughters together and had been married for 14 years. Christine, their oldest child, was born in 1994, and Jillian, their youngest, was born in 1998. Danielle and Thomas divorced in 2007, just two years before Danielle started on RHONJ, after 14 years of marriage and two children together.

In an excerpt from her book, Naked Truth, Danielle discussed her previous connection with Thomas. She claimed that while her marriage to Thomas appeared to be going well on the surface, she and Thomas were becoming emotionally distant behind closed doors. She made the decision that she did not want to be with someone who provided for her materially but did not meet her emotional needs. Thomas met his wife Rebecca shortly after their divorce.

Marty Caffrey and Danielle started dating in April 2016, and they got engaged less than a year later, in May 2017. A year later, on the beach in the Bahamas, the pair married. Their wedding was aired on RHONJ, and it showed Danielle Staub and Marty fighting over a few family issues as well as the ceremony itself. The couple filed for divorce just three months after their wedding. The former couple had an intense RHONJ divorce, with Marty claiming that Danielle tried to stab him, and Danielle claiming that Marty was physically and emotionally abusing her. In February of 2019, their divorce was formalized. (3)

Danielle met Oliver shortly after her divorce from Marty was finalized, and the two were due to marry on March 14, 2019. Oliver and Danielle met in October 2018, when Oliver was dating one of Danielle’s friends. He began pursuing Danielle after breaking up with his then-girlfriend. They got engaged while on vacation in St. Barts at the Cheval Blanc hotel. The couple planned to marry within days of getting engaged, but their engagement was called off before they could make it to the altar.

Danielle Staub is a cast member of Bravo’s successful reality show “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” which is currently in its ninth season. Staub is also a philanthropist, an author, and a media figure.

Staub was part of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast in seasons one and two before departing for a few years and reappearing in season eight.

Staub is the author of “The Naked Truth: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewife of New Jersey,” a bestseller memoir that details the ups and downs of her life, from being a model to working as a stripper and spending time in prison after becoming tied up with mobsters and the FBI.

She was allegedly arrested in 1986 for her alleged role in an abduction case. She was involved in cocaine selling with Daniel Aguilar, and the two of them attempted to kidnap a man’s son for a $25,000 ransom.

Merrill and Aguilar were eventually linked to the ransom calls. Merrill was apprehended with cocaine and $16,000 in cash at a Miami condominium. Instead of facing years in prison, she agreed to a plea deal in which she provided information on Aguilar and others to the courts. She changed her identity to Angela Minelli to safeguard her safety, but she still received death threats.

Merrill met Aguilar while working for an escort agency, according to the evidence presented in court. She was sentenced to five years of probation and was required to complete a drug treatment program. Aguilar, on the other hand, received a 15-year sentence.

Staub has made guest appearances on a variety of shows, including the long-running ABC serial opera “All My Children,” the Style Network comedy “The Dish,” and other shows. Staub also appeared in the VH1 culinary reality show “Famous Food,” which depicted eateries being completely rebuilt. Since the age of 17, Staub has worked in theater, television, and modeling. (4)

Staub’s hobbies include cooking, yoga, and fitness. Staub, who comes from a Sicilian family, honors her Italian heritage in her culinary endeavors while also incorporating her healthy lifestyle by creating authentic, good-for-you meals. Staub also raised her children as a single mother for several years.

Staub has always prioritized charitable activity, and he actively supports the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the World Hunger Organization. She also serves as a celebrity spokesperson for Animal Aid USA and their no-euthanasia approach to animal rescue.

Staub revealed in August 2017 that she would return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey as a “friend of the housewives.” For seasons eight, nine, and ten, she was a recurrent cast member. Staub confirmed her permanent departure from The Real Housewives of New Jersey on January 8, 2020.

Staub started a podcast called Absolutely Danielle in July 2020.

Today, Danielle Staub busies herself with her podcast and is frequently spending time with her two adult daughters, Christine and Jillian. She currently resides in Englewood, New Jersey with her family.

Real Housewives of New Jersey Storyline for Danielle Staub

Danielle Staub joined “The Real Housewives of New Jersey”. She came to prominence after being cast as a main cast member for two seasons in May 2009.

Without a question, Danielle Staub was one of the key reasons ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ became so popular. Staub became a household name after Teresa Giudice flipped a table on the star in the first season’s season finale. Her harsh and cunning actions quickly turned her into the show’s villain, but her mentality was ideal for reality television. Despite the fact that she is no longer a member of the franchise, she has left an indelible impression.

Danielle Staub was introduced to fans in the first season as a newly divorced single mother of two. On the show, the celebrity, who was previously married to Thomas N. Staub, detailed her path through marriage, parenting, and ultimately divorce, but she left out one detail: when her spouse departed, so did all the money. Danielle received child support from her ex-husband, but the couple’s divorce settlement left her with nothing, including their family home.

Staub was confronted by other participants in the reality show along with Charles Kipps’ book Cop Without a Badge in the first season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The book detailed the events surrounding an undercover FBI informer named Kevin Maher, who had previously been married to Staub; it also detailed Staub’s imprisonment.

Her stay on the show was even more tumultuous when she became involved in a sex tape scandal.

When it came time for Danielle to tell her friends that she and Marty Caffrey were divorcing after only a few months of marriage, she was nervous. She also realized it wouldn’t be easy to break the news to Teresa Giudice. She was, however, “anxious” about telling her the news.

She explained to The Daily Dish that, her and Teresa ”are super close, not when things go wrong or anything. We’re very close. As a result, she was the first to break my silence.”

Teresa was one of the guests at Danielle and Marty’s May wedding in the Bahamas. Danielle acknowledges that she’s still processing the fact that she married and divorced in such a short amount of time. By July, the RHONJ pal and Marty were having marital problems, and divorce papers were filed in September.

Staub, on the other hand, attributes her clarity to her friendship with Teresa. “To be honest with you, I don’t know how I would have done it without her,” she admitted. “I don’t think there’s anything else I can say.”

Before all of this closeness and bond, Giudice, 49, and Staub, 59, were two of RHONJ’s most infamous enemies, with Giudice notoriously throwing a table at Staub and labeling her a “prostitution whore” in the season 1 finale.

Staub departed the program after season 2 because things had become so nasty. Between seasons, the two reconciled, paving the way for Staub’s return to the show as a Friend of the Housewives in season 8. Giudice even apologized to Staub’s two daughters for the years-long impact her label as a “prostitution whore” had on them.

Sadly, the two are no longer friends as of 2022. They both confirmed it on separate interviews.

Staub was entangled in another quarrel, this time with OG castmate Dina Manzo, long before the problems and beef with which she is currently being tied. It all boils down to a basic dispute, as it has for so many other RHONJ stars. Danielle and Dina’s animosity seemed to go on forever, and it was the reason Dina departed RHONJ. Dina claimed in 2010 that Danielle had attempted to have her daughter taken away from her. Dina’s daughter Lexi, who was 12 years old at the time, had to get parental permission to go on the show during its first season in 2008. Dina and her ex-husband both gave their consent, but after seeing part of the film, Dina’s ex is said to have changed his mind about allowing Lexi to appear on the show. Danielle allegedly stepped in and attempted to wreck Dina’s life at that point, according to Dina.

“She told my ex’s family that I had forged his signature on the contracts, which I had not done,” Dina explained. “She knew she could manipulate his emotions, so she gave him the phone numbers of everyone he’d need to file a lawsuit — connections at Bravo, our production crew, and her lawyers. […] She felt it would lead to more, like I’d lose custody, and she just wanted to harm me.”

Her ex eventually believed her, but Dina’s cast mate’s interference caused her to leave the show. In an interview with E!, he said: According to the news, she stated that leaving the show was her only option.
