Terry Dubrow's Early Life

Terry Dubrow is 63 years old. He was born on September 16, 1958. Laura and Alvin Dubrow were his parents and he had a brother, they were raised together in Los Angeles. His ancestors are of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. His older brother Kevin, who was the lead singer for the popular metal band Quiet Riot for the bulk of the band’s history until his death in 2007.

Kevin’s brother Terry Dubrow, with whom he shared his bedroom for 17 years, was the one who never questioned that he would make it big one day. Kevin, according to Terry, was always loving rock n’ roll. He claimed that his older brother was in a band that was set to perform on graduation day as early as elementary school. Kevin, however, had broken his arm a week before.
It has its drawbacks being the studious younger brother of a burgeoning hard rocker. Kevin had a lot of stereo equipment, lighting equipment, and a pretty huge drum set in their bedroom at one point, and everything else was Kevin’s. Despite this, there were benefits, such as the first time his brother met the first member of Quiet Riot, which he recalls vividly.

The Dubrows were quite the opposite siblings. While Terry Dubrow went on to become a plastic surgeon, his older brother Kevin Dubrow went on to become the lead singer of the heavy metal band Quiet Riot, best known for the hit single “Cum on Feel the Noize.” Kevin Dubrow died in 2007 at the age of 52, but Terry appears to remember him onscreen and off on RHOC.

Kevin’s achievement, according to Terry, can be traced back to their mother, who raised the two boys on her alone. Terry’s goals of becoming a doctor and his music were always supported by her.

Terry Dubrow's Education

Qualifying into any university is difficult, but getting into an Ivy league school is something that only a few people can achieve, but Dubrow accomplished. Terry Dubrow has a master’s degree from Yale University and a medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. He went on to finish a residency in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he also served as head resident, and a fellowship in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at UCLA Medical Center. Dubrow is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a board-certified plastic surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Terry didn’t only go to UCLA for medical school. He basically had it under his control. According to his website, he completed a three-year fellowship at the medical school and was later named chief resident of general and plastic surgery.

Fans may find it difficult to envision Dr. Terry Dubrow doing anything other than plastic surgery, but it turns out that this was not his first choice when he entered the medical field. In fact, he had set his sights on becoming a cardiologist with a focus on surgical heart treatments. He learned of a woman whose face had been seriously scarred in a vehicle accident while completing his medical degree, and he instantly grasped the benefits of plastic surgery. Dubrow pushed forward to seek courses in the domain of plastic surgery treatments, motivated by a desire to help individuals regain their lives, and most would say that this was the best career re-direct his career could have seen.

In Newport Beach, California, Dubrow established his private clinic, which specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Dubrow garnered rave reviews and doctor referrals for facelifts, rhinoplasty, tummy tucks, challenging breast revision cases, and other specialist surgeries before becoming well-known for his television appearances.

In 2004, after establishing his own practice, he was called by Fox producers, who requested him to join their reality series The Swan as a featured plastic surgeon. His plastic surgery queue grew from three to six months after he appeared on The Swan, and it continues to increase. Since then, he’s appeared on a number of shows, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of plastic surgery.

Dr. Dubrow and fellow Real Housewives husband, Dr. Paul Nassif, began participating on their own plastic surgery reality show on E! in the summer of 2014 called Botched. The show follows him and Nassif as they assist patients who have had botched plastic surgery. This isn’t his first (or even second) attempt at reality television. He was previously seen in the film Bridalplasty. The aim of the show was to have 12 ladies compete for a wedding and cosmetic operations. The procedures were carried out by Dubrow. The show was likewise only on for a single season. Good Work, a chat program presented by RuPaul, Terry Dubrow, and Sandra Vergara, was his second TV show.

In 2015, the show only aired for a few months. Botched by Nature, an eight-episode spin-off series of Botched, was announced in October 2015. Dubrow starred in the show, which premiered on August 9, 2016. He’s also featured on Good Day LA, The Early Show on CBS, Larry King Live, and The View as an expert in plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and non-surgical aesthetic procedures.

He is the previous director of the Acne Clinic of Newport Beach, in addition to his expertise in plastic surgery. He is the co-author of The Acne Cure and has several studies published in medical journals such as The American Journal of Surgery, Journal of Surgical Research, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. and Mrs. Guinea Pig was co-authored by Dubrow and his wife Heather Dubrow. They investigate the multibillion-dollar anti-aging market together, providing a unique perspective on which goods, surgeries, and treatments will make people look and feel younger.

On the healthgrades.com website, Dubrow’s reviews as a doctor and for his Newport Beach-based office are generally negative, with many people labeling him and his staff unpleasant. A 2016 review from a patient claims that he has “…horrible bedside manner, he left me in pain, tears, and distress several times. Left horrid scars that conveniently had to be revised numerous times on MY dime – many doctors have remarked that he BOTCHED my tummy tuck & breast reconstruction.” Another review reads: “Total phony. This guy is a great television personality and a terrible doctor. Had to redo two surgeries he did. Left a hole below my right breast that required 4 months to heal. Made my flat stomach bumpy after a tummy tuck. After problems, he and his staff avoids calls, emails, or texts. It’s all about the money and nothing about the patient.”

Heather and Terry Dubrow published The Dubrow Diet, a book that promotes a fad diet, in 2018. The Dubrow Diet is a low-carb diet that uses intermittent fasting to promote weight loss, according to their website. It is “based on cutting-edge and Nobel–prize–winning science that promises not only unprecedented metabolic control, but also an internal cellular rejuvenation with powerful anti-aging effects.” It promotes the consumption of lean meats, good fats, non-starchy veggies, and fruits.

Terry and Heather just authored and published The Dubrow Keto Fusion Diet, an e-book. According to them, this regimen combines the finest aspects of keto with the best aspects of intermittent fasting. It’s a way of life. Terry and Heather have a skincare product called Consult Beaute that they have created over the last 15 years.

His skilled work is carried out in accordance with his philosophy as a plastic surgeon, which requires that every member of his team put the patient’s worries, aims, and desires first. He still works in television now, and you may catch him on his shows or as a guest on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Real Housewives of Orange Country Storyline for Terry Dubrow

XXXXX joined “The Real Housewives of XXXX” in season X in 20XX.

Heather Dubrow confronted Shannon Storms Beador about her role in the group’s gossip that her friend, Nicole, had once sued her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, in the most recent season of the show (the lawsuit was ultimately dropped). The tense talk between Heather and Shannon, which did take place at Emily Simpson’s residence during a party to celebrate her husband, Shane, passing the California bar exam, had Heather pledging to “defend my family to the end.” It later turned out that Heather was not the only one looking for an apology. Shannon is also asked to apologize to Terry during the party. Shannon eagerly accepts, but she can’t help but feel a little self-conscious about it, as she admits in an interview in the video. Shannon adds, “Now I have to sit down and chat to Terry, and she’ll just sit there and listen.” Shannon apologizes to Terry, saying, “I feel like Heather is my schoolteacher grading me, and I’m an f—king 57-year-old lady.”

“I want to let you know that I am so, so sorry for any hurt that I’ve caused. We all know you’re a brilliant surgeon with an impeccable reputation, and what I did was wrong,” Shannon shares. “And I’m not that kind of person; hopefully, you’ll both be able to realize that in due time.”

Terry responds by expressing his perplexity as to why the lawsuit was even brought up in the first place. “The thing for me is I just didn’t understand why, because it was so long ago,” he tells Shannon. “It was so not a thing.”

Page Six spoke with the star of E! in an exclusive interview. When he and wife Heather Dubrow returned to Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County” after a five-year absence, he never expected to face a decades-old lawsuit.

“I was very blindsided by it,” the 63-year-old plastic surgeon said of the squabble that began Season 16 in December. Heather, 53, was told by Gina Kirschenheiter that Shannon Beador, Heather’s lifelong foe, disseminated rumors that “Friend of the Housewives” Nicole James had sued Terry for a “botched boob job” years ago.

“To be honest with you, my initial reaction was that I felt horrible — because that suggested there was a problem,” Terry said of the incident, which occurred at the Dubrows’ opulent Newport Beach home during a Nobu-catered party. In the episode, a contrite James told Terry that she doesn’t believe he “did anything wrong,” admitting that she was in her 20s at the time of the lawsuit and that she was “pushed” to file it by attorneys. James, who used to go by the name Nicole Weise, eventually changed her name.

Heather Dubrow welcomed the show’s new cast member Dr. Jen Armstrong during the sixteenth season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” Heather and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, threw a dinner party in season 16, episode 11. The Dubrows invited a number of their married acquaintances, including Armstrong and her husband, Ryne Holliday, who were having marital problems. At the party, Heather hoped to demonstrate the couple what a successful marriage looked like.

Heather offered Holliday a drink when he arrived at the Dubrows’ place. Terry asked Armstrong whether he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints after Armstrong revealed that her spouse does not drink alcohol. The star of “Botched” also asked if he had tried narcotics like heroin, cocaine, or marijuana. “No booze, cocaine, marijuana, heroin, nothing,” the plastic surgeon joked when Holliday said he hadn’t.

People slammed the famous doctor’s behavior towards Holliday after the episode aired. Redditors quickly noticed how rude and trashy it was with one user commenting that Terry acted like a jerk. “Terry’s behaviour in general was very de classe. Who does he think he is to comment on anyone’s relationship. The weird smirks and judging Ryne for not drinking. Not classy. I actually felt so bad for Ryan that whole time. He looked like he was dying but powered through,” commented a different person
