Marilyn Manson Sues Evan Rachel Wood For Defamation

The actress publicly accused Manson of physical and emotional abuse over a year ago, prompting the complaint.

Marilyn Manson has filed a defamation action against his former partner, Evan Rachel Wood, alleging that he physically and mentally harassed her throughout their relationship.

Wood and another woman identified as a defendant, Illma Gore, allegedly used false pretenses, including a counterfeit FBI letter, to persuade additional women to come forward with sexual assault charges, according to the complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court acquired by TMZ.

According to the documents, Manson’s legal team sets out a sequence of alleged incidents between 2019 and 2021 that imply Wood and Gore worked together to concoct false charges against him, including impersonating an FBI agent to urge potential victims to come forward at the same time as allegations of sexual assault and abuse.

The Goth rocker has requested a jury trial to put an end to the charges, as well as to evaluate and pay damages to the singer.
In 2007, Manson and Wood announced their relationship. She was 18 at that time while, he was 37. They were momentarily engaged in 2010 before calling it quits.

Wood, though, revealed she had been raped and mistreated in 2017, when the #MeToo movement was gaining traction, and she spoke before a congressional committee in 2018, both without identifying anybody. Then, in February 2020, Wood identified Manson in an Instagram post, alleging he “horrifically abused me for years.”

The “Westworld” star then mentioned Manson in an Instagram post around February 2020, claiming that he “horrifically abused me for years.” Several women, including “Game of Thrones” actress Esme Bianco, have also accused the musician of sexual assault.

Last year, Los Angeles police announced that they were looking into domestic abuse complaints against the singer.

“There will come a time when I can share more about the events of the past year,” Manson wrote on Twitter. “Until then, I’m going to let the facts speak for themselves.”

As a lifelong Marilyn Manson fan let me say this: He is absolutely going to lose his nonsense lawsuit and deserves to go to prison for the rest of his life but unfortunately he's a rich white dude protected by a system.
