Lana Del Rey Announces She’s Deactivating All Of Her Social Media Accounts

We won’t be seeing Lana Del Rey’s social media activities for some time.

The singer-songwriter took to Instagram on Saturday to announce that she will be deactivating her social media accounts soon to focus on her future artistic projects which she said, “requires privacy and transparency.”

“Hi, guys. I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow we are going to be deactivating our social media accounts, my social media accounts,” Del Rey said in a brief black-and-white video which is now no longer available and captioned “On the record.”

“That is simply because I have so many other interests and other jobs I’m doing that require privacy and transparency.”

Del Rey assured fans that she will continue to work on her “spoken word albums and my records and still writing my short poetry books and that I’m still very present and love what I do. I’m absolutely out here for the music and that I’m also just going on some different endeavors.”

She added how much she’s grateful for the support fans been providing her and expecting to like her forthcoming record, “It’s a compilation of older songs and a few newer songs. Some written by family and friends and mostly, old collaborators and there will be probably always be more to come.”

“For now, I just want to say thank you so much for the support and it’s been much appreciated, and I want to say a heartfelt thank you for continuing to kind of see me through the music.”

“It’s always important to be witnessed and to be witnessed by the people close to you and who you trust. For right now, I think I’m going to just keep my circle a little bit closer and continue to develop some other skills and interests.”

Del Rey finished the video by saying she’s “I’m always here making lots of records and in the meantime living life” and adding she’s “always enjoyed sharing all these very small tidbits with you,” prior to thanking fans and saying “signing off” while blazing a peace sign to the camera.

Earlier this year, she recently released “Chemtrails Over the Country Club” album, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and simply this week, she unveiled her new single, ‘ARCADIA’, which she composed and created with Drew Erickson, alongside the authority declaration of the collection’s delivery.
