While the idea of residing in a mouse-infested flat would undoubtedly make the majority of people gag, the actress seems to be enjoying it. She even made a point of boasting about it!
In one of her TikTok videos, model and actress Julia Fox boasted about residing in a mouse-infested apartment in New York City while giving a tour of the space to her followers and users of the app. Because of such an unpleasant situation, she has come under fire for bragging about living in it.
The “Uncut Gems” star gave her followers a tour of her one-bedroom Manhattan residence on Wednesday through TikTok. She cited her belief in “maximum transparency” with her followers as the reason why she wanted to conduct an apartment tour.
“I know I’m gonna get roasted, but hopefully, maybe someone can watch this and be like, ‘OK, maybe I’m not doing so bad,'” she said as she began her video. The living room, which she had turned into her bedroom, was where she started her tour of the apartment.
The model explained that she moved her bed into the living room to convert her bedroom into a little playground for her son, Valentino. Along with her unmade bed, she also revealed her “nostalgia mirror,” which was covered with pictures of her deceased relatives and other loved ones.
The tour of the apartment continued into her hallway, which was lined with shoe racks and then into her little bathroom, which she characterized as extremely small but functional. She then demonstrated her kitchen, where a stack of shoeboxes was sitting in the corner and said that New Yorkers frequently had this situation.
Her son Valentino’s room, which was furnished with a loft bed and toy storage, was the last thing she displayed in her residence. Despite Julia’s wishes for him to have a nice room, his son spends very little time there because he is usually in her room.
Additionally, she stated that her bed is where his son sleeps, so he doesn’t even spend the night there, remarking, “Yeah, we’re co-sleepers. Sue me. I don’t care.”
After finishing her tour of the apartment, Julia gave a brief explanation of why she chose to live there, stating that she dislikes “excessive displays of wealth,” particularly those who have huge homes, as it makes her feel uneasy and that it is “really wasteful when there are so many homeless people in this country.”
She then revealed one more thing that caused controversy online, that being the fact that she is currently dealing with a minor mouse issue, something that she weirdly appreciates because it helped her clean her son’s “crumbs.”
“We do have a little, small mouse problem, but it’s a problem depending on how you look at it,” she concluded. “I appreciate that at night, while we’re sleeping, they come out and clean up the crumbs that my son drops on the floor. I’m not gonna evict the mice any time soon.”

Despite the grossness of the situation, Fox is obviously looking at it on the brighter side. It’s obviously not ideal to live in a mouse-infested flat, but Julia is doing her best to make the most of the situation, and some people even think it’s nice that she’s been able to find some humor in it.

The majority of residents in New York City make every effort to get rid of mice. In addition to spreading illnesses, mice can harm property by chewing on insulation and electrical cables.
