Actor Cody Longo, who was most known for his work on the television show “Days of Our Lives,” has died at the young age of 34 after being discovered dead at his Austin, Texas, home on Wednesday.
Cody’s body was discovered in bed at a house in Austin, Texas, by a family member. His wife Stephanie was working at a neighboring dancing lesson and couldn’t get through to him. When she contacted the police to check on him out of worry, they arrived at the scene and found him dead.
He was discovered dead in bed when the police broke down the door of the residence, according to TMZ, which first reported the story. Subsequently, Stephanie and his manager Alex Gittelson issued separate tributes to the beloved actor to confirm his passing.
“Cody was our whole world. The kids and I are shattered and beyond devastated,” his wife’s statement reads. “He was the best dad and best father. We will always and forever miss you and love you.” The couple had three children; two are named Elijah Christiano Longo and Lyla Lou Alia Longo.
For his manager’s part, Gittelson claimed that although the “Hollywood Heights” star had taken a break from acting to explore music and “spend more time with his family in Nashville,” they had been in touch often and that he was eager to return to acting this year.
“Cody was such a loyal, loving, and talented person, and he will be greatly missed,” he concluded. Cody’s fans also mourn his passing as they share their tributes on social media. See reactions below.
It is unknown what caused Cody’s passing; however, his friends and family have said that he battled alcoholism for many years and recently attended treatment. With that, his loved ones think that his death was probably caused by alcoholism after he relapsed.
In addition to appearing on “Days of Our Lives” back in 2011, he was also in “Bring It On: Fight to The Finish” and “Nashville,” both of which were in 2016. However, it was in the 2012 TV series “Hollywood Heights” that he became considerably more well-known in the entertainment industry and cemented his reputation as an actor.
Cody Longo had great potential but died much too young. Everybody who knew him will miss him terribly. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and their three children. Our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends during this trying time are with you.

Just heard the news about @codylongo. My heart is broken! Hollywood Heights is still one of my favorite shows even more than 10 years after it was on TV. So sad!! RIP!!
