Unbeknownst to many, Ramsay had it rough as a child. His father was very abusive towards him and his siblings. According to Ramsay, his father was a very violent alcoholic. Aside from that, his father was also a womanizer. His father’s failed attempts to pursue his dreams led to the family’s frequent transfer from one place to another.
At nine, they left Scotland to move to England, where he would spend most of his childhood life in Stratford-upon-Avon. In his early teens, Gordon has to work as a pot washer at an Indian Restaurant where his sister worked as a waitress to make ends meet. He also dreamt of becoming a footballer, but this was short-lived after his knee injury, prompting him to end his dreams.

In 2008, a woman named Sarah Symonds revealed her seven years affair with the celebrity chef to the media. Sarah claims they’d been having little rendezvous between London and Los Angeles for years, beginning their meeting at the Chinawhite nightclub in Los Angeles in 2001.
In her book, “Having an Affair? A Handbook for the Other Woman,” Sarah claims that she was even introduced to Tana Ramsay by Gordon during the opening of the Connaught Hotel restaurant in 2002. The affair ended in 2008.
Another blow to the couple’s relationship was that Tana’s father, Chris Hutcheson, supposedly knew the affair but kept his mouth shut for fear that his secret family would be exposed. His worst fear came when he was caught hacking Ramsay’s email and stealing money. Gordon Ramsay's Career
After obtaining his degree in hotel management, Gordon Ramsay began working at the Wroxton House Hotel as a commis chef. However, he left the restaurant and moved to London, where he worked at several restaurants like Harveys. After leaving Harveys, he worked in Mayfair under the guidance of Albert Roux of Le Gavroche.
After a year, the Le Gavroche, Ramsay was brought by Roux to Hotel Diva, a ski resort in the French Alps. He eventually moved to Paris and worked with various Michelin-starred chefs.
In 1993, Gordon Ramsay returned to London and was offered to be a head chef at the La Tante Claire in Chelsea.
