Maybe it’s time to give our hopes up.

Taylor Swift has performed for the first time since the announcement of her break up from Joe Alwyn. “Is it just me, or do we have a lot of things to catch up on?” Thursday night, Swift asked the screaming crowd at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

According to concertgoers, Swift retained the same setlist from her previous Arlington, Texas performance. Fans heard her say, “It’s been a really long time since I’ve been on tour” during her Thursday performance, and to say that much has transpired would be an understatement.

Later in the performance, the singer surprised the audience with a rendition of “Speak Now” and said, “Recently, I’ve been pondering a great deal about one of my albums. One of my albums has been on my mind a lot… I have a lot of thoughts about it,” she told fans.

Swift performed “champagne problems,” a song she co-wrote with Alwyn for her ninth studio album, “Evermore.” Before performing her 2019 hit single “Lover,” admirers on social media claimed she changed her typical introduction by describing the song as “just a love song.

Swift and Alwyn ended their relationship a few weeks ago, and a source shared that the split wasn’t dramatic and that the relationship simply ran its course. Swift began her sold-out “The Eras Tour” on March 17, and astute admirers observed that Alwyn was absent from her performances.

The couple first met at the 2016 Met Gala, began dating a few months later, and made their relationship public in 2017. Swift made her first public appearance since news of her divorce swept social media earlier this week.

The 12-time Grammy winner was spotted in New York City with musician Jack Antonoff, who collaborated on her most recent album, “Midnights.” Margaret Qualley, Antonoff’s fiancée, joined the friends at the Italian restaurant Via Carota.

The New York City destination is only four minutes from “Cornelia Street,” the title of a song on Swift’s 2019 album “Lover” that is widely believed to reference her relationship with Alwyn. The exes of the “Lavender Haze” singer are Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston.

After his separation from Taylor Swift, Joe Alwyn focused on his career. The British actor has won a role in the upcoming film “The Brutalist,” according to a press release issued on Tuesday.

Brady Corbet’s drama chronicles “thirty years of an artist’s life and his enduring creative journey” after he escapes post-war Europe for the United States. Alongside Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, and Guy Pearce, Alwyn has been recruited, and filming has already begun in Hungary.

Nonetheless, a source has exclusively denied to Page Six this week that the vocalist and the actor were ever married, stating that reports of a secret ceremony are “completely false.” At the time, Alwyn even told WSJ Magazine, “If I had a pound for every time I believe I’ve been told I’m engaged, I’d have a lot of pound coins.”

“If the answer was yes, I wouldn’t say anything; if the answer was no, I wouldn’t. If you give it to them, it just opens the door,” he added, explaining his decision to keep his relationship private.
