The actor even dropped an inappropriate remark about the host’s body.

One of the most recognizable and significant figures in the world is Oprah Winfrey. It was, therefore, a major thing when she appeared in “The Butler” in 2012 with Terrence Howard.

With an all-star ensemble that featured Cuba Gooding Jr., Robin Williams, Forrest Whitaker, and Oprah, the historical drama about a black butler who worked in the White House had a diverse subject matter.

However, one moment, in particular, stood out from the others. A love scene between Howard and Winfrey turned out differently than how it was supposed to. The scene was meant to be brief, but Winfrey said that Howard’s tricks on set caused it to extend during an interview with Steve Harvey.

She said, “It was supposed to be a little scene, and because Terrence Howard misbehaved, it turned into a bigger scene and then a bigger scene. He’s a misbehaving little boy.”

When it came to the love scene, Howard had previously commented that he loved making out with Winfrey and making fun of her “tig ol’ bitties.” Although some people found these remarks offensive, Winfrey didn’t appear to mind. Even making light of it, she remarked, “Well, I do have big breasteses.”

Working with Winfrey gave Howard new perspectives. The two were able to connect on set in a more profound way because he was able to see a side of her that few others were aware of.

The actor once said on Sway in the Morning, “What me and Oprah shared, we looked into each other’s eyes, and I saw the little girl in her. I didn’t see the veneer of Oprah that everybody else has lifted her to, and that’s the problem.”

“Even we do that with a lot of celebrities, we forget that they’re human beings. And it’s been a long time since someone had looked at her like a woman. She opened up and showed me the woman Oprah, y’know, and not the mystique Oprah. And it was the most beautiful thing I’ve done in my life.”

“The Butler” was a critically acclaimed film that brought together a star-studded cast despite not having much money to pay them. Director Lee Daniels said in an interview with Kam Williams that the actors were drawn to the material and wanted to serve it. And while there were a few bumps in the road during filming, the final product was a success.
