It remains to be seen which character he may bring to life next in the ever-expanding DC movie and TV universe.

Fans of Brendan Fraser have been thrilled by his recent comeback to the spotlight, primarily due to his work in the DC Comics universe. Many people may be aware of Fraser through his work on the HBO Max series “Doom Patrol,” but not everyone knows that he has been a superhero TV and movie producer for a considerable amount of time.

“Doom Patrol,” a program based on the peculiar and enduring DC Comics series, marked Fraser’s introduction to the DC world. Fraser plays Robotman in the series, a pivotal figure who serves as the team’s anchor and integrates multiple interpretations of the original material. With that, the veteran actor had a triumphant comeback owing to his performance in the highly regarded series, which earned him plaudits.

Although the fourth and final season of “Doom Patrol” would mark the end of Fraser’s tenure there, he already had another intriguing DC project in the works. He had filmed scenes for the “Batgirl” film, where he portrayed the villain Firefly. Unfortunately, Warner Bros. decided to cancel the film before post-production, rendering Fraser’s performance unseen.

In a recent interview with Variety, Fraser acknowledged his sadness at the Batgirl movie’s cancellation but also made it clear that he would be open to participating in future DC productions. He said that because his job as Robotman just needed voice acting, he was able to work easily. Fans are then intrigued and eager as a result of this renewed passion for exploring further DC roles.

While his role in the DC world is greatly anticipated, Fraser is presently focusing on his future project, which is well outside of the DC Comics universe. Fraser’s comeback to acting received tremendous acclaim, especially owing to his amazing work in “Doom Patrol.”

He recently played the lead role in Martin Scorsese’s gritty crime film “Killers of the Flower Moon,” which is based on the actual events of the 1920s Osage Murders. Fraser portrays W.S. Hamilton in the movie, a lawyer working on the case of these infamous killings.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” is already available on Apple TV+ as of May 2023. As the actor continues to diversify his roles, fans eagerly await news of his potential return to the DC universe and the exciting characters he might bring to life in future projects.
