Barbra Streisand gained the right to say something about “A Star Is Born” remake and no one can stop her for that.

Barbra Streisand shared her considerations about the “A Star Is Born” revamp where Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga featured in, during her meeting with an Australian media source, The Sunday Project, while promoting her new compilation album Release Me 2.

“At first, when I heard it was going to be done again, it was supposed to be Will Smith and Beyoncé. I thought, that’s interesting. Really make it different again, different kind of music, integrated actors, I thought that was a great idea.”
“So, I was surprised when I saw how alike it was to the version that I did in 1976,” she added.
Streisand continued, “I thought it was the wrong idea, but look, it was a big success, so I can’t argue with success, but I don’t care so much about success as I do originality.”

“A Star Is Born” remake has swept the 2019 awards season, including eight nominations at the 91st Academy Awards which became Lady Gaga’s first Academy Award.
It also won Best Original Song for “Shallow” at both the Golden Globe Awards and the Oscars. The song additionally scored two successes at the Grammys that very year.
Reactions to Barbra Streisand Throwing Shades Against The 2018 Remake
Barbra Streisand has the nerve to criticize the remake since she had done it before, but will the fans agree to her? Check out these users insight about it.
All due respect to Barbra Streisand, but I don't see how Beyoncé would've worked in "A Star is Born." You'd have to get the audience to believe that no one else would give this girl a chance or to accept that her innate stardom wasn't completely and immediately obvious to anyone.

“Barbra Streisand revealed she was disappointed by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s 2018 remake, without acknowledging that her 1976 version of the classic show-business story was widely panned as a ‘a massively misguided vanity project’ and one of the worst movies she ever made.”
