Romano conceded that she lost huge number of dollars she made during her acting profession. She began bringing in cash with Disney when she was 16.

The video started with her clarifying, how the “Coogan Law” which shields minors from their folks going through the entirety of their cash wasn’t exactly applied to her.

“I really regret not investing my money wisely. I didn’t get a house. I didn’t take any money and store it away, other than the Coogan money.” The entertainer said that the Coogan cash was utilized towards her school at 18.

“I left the business, and I went into college,” she explained. She added how she “put it [Coogan Money] towards not having student loan debt,” but left school a year and a half in.

“I had this money at my disposal. I was never told how much money I was making; money didn’t have a purpose for me. I didn’t really know what it was. I just knew that I had it, and I didn’t care about it.” She added how she was utilizing “buying things and money,” as her weapon.

“I felt like if I could just buy certain things, I would feel better or if I just lived a certain lifestyle, I would be closer to that joy of feeling accepted and a lot less alone because I felt really dumb for not knowing about my money and I never really made peace with that,” she told viewers. “Even to this day, there’s nothing I can really do about the fact that money came and went.”

Romano said she also received a record and book deal when she was 21 and made just about one million dollars but in that same year, she blows it away on various purchases.

“My biggest thing about child actors — you aren’t told that the work is going to slow down. In fact, I was told the opposite, specifically by my mom, some of my team, even my money manager at the time. ‘Oh, don’t worry, the residuals come; you’re going to keep making money.’ It’s interesting, it bred a sort of contempt in me. It’s a tremendous amount of pressure, and I think I self-destructed.”

Romano is now married and is a mother to two daughters. She is known for playing Ren Stevens on Even Stevens and voicing the titular character from Kim Possible, both of which aired on the Disney Channel. She’s making money from monetizing her YouTube channel and doing sponsored contents.

“Build small and make sure that you’re doing things that are smart,” she exhorted, “that can make you money, not break you and enjoy the things that are not expensive.”
