She is now breaking her silence and expressing her point of view.

In a virtual appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night, Tiffany Haddish spoke up for the first time about her arrest.

When Jimmy asked Tiffany, who had just split from her boyfriend Common, whether she wanted to talk about the incident, she joked, “I can say this, Jimmy… I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man. A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four… in uniform.”

She went on to claim that her lawyer is dealing with the fallout after she made the joke. “And now I got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out,” the actress added. “I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better!”

The “Night School” star was detained in Atlanta earlier this month for a suspected DUI and improper stopping on a highway after she was discovered sleeping behind the wheel.

What’s more striking is how pleasant she seemed in her mugshot, flashing a broad grin for the police and wearing a gray blazer with her short, blond haircut.

Her arrest came after a traumatic few weeks in which her grandmother (who reared her), her favorite dog, and close friends Bob Saget and Carl Craig all pass away.

According to TMZ, she was freed from prison about 6:30 a.m. after posting a $1,666 bail.
