Rogan claimed it was the “most regretful and shameful thing that I’ve ever had to talk about publicly” in an Instagram video uploaded on Saturday, February 5. He stated in the video that footage of him saying the term had been taken out of context and looked “horrible,” even to him.

“I know that to most people, there is no context where a white person is ever allowed to say that word, never mind publicly on a podcast. And I agree with that now, I haven’t said it in years.”

The podcaster additionally explained that there were instances when he believed he could use the phrase in pop culture talks yet there is a clear distinction. Rogan admits he made a mistake and regrets it.

“When I would bring that word up, like, if it would come up in conversation and instead of saying the n-word, I would just say the word — I thought as long as it was in context, people would understand what I was doing.”

“I never used it to be racist, because I’m not racist.,” he said adding, “But whenever you’re in a situation where you have to say, ‘I’m not racist,’ you’ve f—— up, and I clearly have f—— up. There’s nothing I can do to take that back. I wish I could, obviously, that’s not possible.”

He went on to say that he hopes his errors would serve as a “teachable moment” for anyone who “doesn’t realize how offensive that word can be coming out of a white person’s mouth — in context or out of context.”

“I can’t go back in time and change what I’ve said. I wish I could,” Rogan concluded as he wrapped up his post.

More than 70 episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast were reportedly pulled from the Spotify Technology SA service on Saturday, according to media sources.

Reactions to Joe Rogan Apologizes For Using Racial Slurs In Past Podcast Episodes

Joe Rogan just now realizing that there's no excuse for ever using the N word sounds about white

Joe Rogan logged into his dogs Instagram account to like his apology video for saying the n word a million times lol lmao

The same people feigning outrage over the clips of Joe Rogan saying the n word, have no problem voting and supporting this guy saying the n word.

When all black people quit using the N word to refer to themselves and each other, I’ll give a shit about Joe Rogan saying it years ago.

White people didn't care about Joe Rogan saying the N Word until they needed to shut him up for speaking against the vaccine and picking up traction. They used the oldest liberal trick in the book, "Let's get the coloreds to do it for us". *sigh*
