On Tuesday, Avril Lavigne was seen wearing a big diamond ring on her left hand ring finger, while arriving at a studio in Los Angeles, sparking engagement rumors. She was also spotted sporting a black graphic sweater and large sunglasses with her gorgeous blonde hair down.

The Canadian singer, who has received eight Grammy nominations in the past, didn’t wear the ring to the ceremony on Sunday, but if it’s really an engagement ring, it’ll be her third marriage.

Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2010 and Chad Kroeger from 2013 to 2015 were the singer’s previous marriages. On other hand, she has been seeing Mod Sun, a musician from Minnesota, for the past year. The news was initially reported by TMZ.

The couple met while working on the song and co-starring in the music video, which was released in February 2021. They made their red carpet debut at the MTV Video Music Awards in the same year and after less than a month of dating, he had her name tattooed on his neck, indicating that things were becoming serious.

“I went into the studio and literally was like, ‘Here is where I am at. I am over love. I’m jaded on love right now,” the “Girlfriend” singer said in a recent interview with Kelly Clarkson. “So I wrote that song ‘Love Sux’ and that set the tone for this album. And then a couple of days later, I had a boyfriend. I’m literally never single.”

Machine Gun Kelly revealed in March that Avril will be accompanying him on his 52-date Mainstream Sellout Tour. The North American leg kicks out on June 8 in Austin, Texas, with Blackbear and iann dior on board.
