Aaron Carter, who is best known on the entertainment and music industry as a singer turned rapper and actor, has passed away at the age of 34. On a terrible Saturday, his body was discovered in the bathtub of his Lancaster, California home.
According to a LA County Sheriff’s Department representative that CNN was able to reach, they responded to a call for help by to Carter’s home about 11 a.m. from the rapper’s house sitter, where his lifeless body was found in a bathtub.
Despite the fact that homicide detectives have been dispatched to the scene, no knowledge or proof of a crime has yet been identified. A likely cause of death was not disclosed by the authorities, either.
His fiancée Melanie Martin, with whom he has an 11-month-old son named Prince, made the following statement to TMZ in regards to Carter’s passing: “I love Aaron with all my heart and it’s going to be a journey to raise a son without a father.”
“Please respect the privacy of my family as we come to terms with the loss of someone we love greatly. We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.”
The “Crush on You” singer’s twin sister Angel, also penned a heartfelt message to her brother, writing on social media, “To my twin… I loved you beyond measure. You will be missed dearly.”
“My funny, sweet Aaron, I have so many memories of you and I, and I promise to cherish them. I know you’re at peace now. I will carry you with me until the day I die and get to see you again 💔.”
As a pop vocalist, Aaron achieved success in the late 1990s. At the age of 7, he took over as the lead vocalist for his own band, the “Dead End,” and went on to record four studio albums, beginning with his self-titled debut in 1997, when he was just nine years old.
In addition to releasing a number of albums over the course of his musical career, he also joined the Backstreet Boys tour at the height of its popularity because his older brother, Nick, was a member of it.
Aaron Carter is survived by his son, Prince.
