Pauline Quirke has had massive weight loss over the past few years.

Pauline Quirke is an actor and writer best known for her performances on “Birds of a Feather,” “Emmerdale Farm,” and “Broadchurch.” At the age of eight, she started acting as a child star, landing her first character role in “Dixon of Dock Green.” However, the English actress later pursued teaching performing arts after a successful acting career.

Following the conclusion of Birds of a Feather, Quirke started portraying DI Maisie Raine in the BBC One drama series “Maisie Raine,” which aired in 1998 and 1999. The former Emmerdale star revealed an instance when she had to request an extended seatbelt on a flight and how a string of terrible occurrences led to urgent action when she watched a TV program about a sumo wrestler who weighed 20 stone. She said that she weighed only a few extra pounds than a sumo wrestler. 

“Now there’s an image that doesn’t make you feel terribly attractive,” she continued, “I needed drastic action.”

The Birds of a Feather actress has battled her weight for years, but judging by the radiant smile that adorns her face, it’s evident that she is now happier with her curves as she spends more time away from the spotlight with her family.
