Total time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 block of Tofu (about 180 grams)
  • 2 Small zucchini
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • 1 Yellow bell pepper
  • 1 Red onion
  • 2 cups Cherry tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 3 tsp Barbecue sauce
  • 2 tsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Remove excess liquid from the tofu by pressing it for around 30 minutes. After that, cut the tofu into cubes and marinate it with soy sauce.
  2. Next, prepare the vegetables by slicing the zucchini and cutting the bell peppers and red onions into squares of similar size.
  3. Create skewers by alternating between vegetables and tofu on bamboo sticks until you have used all the ingredients.
  4. Preheat a pan or grill pan until it sizzles, then grease it with some olive oil. Place the skewers in the pan and cook for a few minutes on each side until the vegetables have softened but are not mushy and the peppers have a char. The tofu should be golden brown.
  5. Add salt and pepper at the end of the cooking process, then brush the skewers with barbecue sauce and sprinkle them with sesame seeds.
  6. Remove the skewers from the pan or grill and serve them hot.
