Scottie Maurice Pippen Sr., usually spelled Scottie Pippen, is an American former professional basketball player. He is also the ex-husband of Larsa Pippen, the reality TV star known for the “Real Housewives of Miami.”

He has played 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association, winning six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls. Scottie’s career ended in 2008.

Scottie Pippen is 56 years old. He was born on September 25, 1965. He was born in Hamburg, Arkansas, United States and was raised by his parents, Preston and Ethel.

Scottie signed a 7-year, $18 million contract extension, ahead of the 1991 season. Simply put, during the peak of the Bulls, at a time when Michael Jordan was earning $30+ million per year in salary, Scottie was earning $2.6 million.

On November 7, 1987, Scottie Pippen made his NBA debut. It happened when the Chicago Bulls faced the Philadelphia 76ers as their first game of the season. Scottie finished the game with 10 points, two steals, four assists, and one rebound in 23 minutes of play.

At that time, Chicago Bulls won their season-opening game 104-94. Pippen claimed the starting small forward position in time for the 1988 NBA Playoffs, helping the Jordan-led Bulls to reach the conference semifinals for the first time in over a decade.

With that, Scottie Pippen was an NBA All-Star selection for the first time in 1990. During the 1990-1991 seasons, he emerged as the primary defensive stopper and a massive scoring threat.
