Tom Segura was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has resided in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mequon, Wisconsin; Vero Beach, Florida; and Los Angeles, California. He received his high school diploma from Saint Edward’s School in Vero Beach, Florida, and his bachelor’s degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. Segura has stated that he interned at Kopelson Entertainment before landing his first paid position as a logger, writing transcripts of reality series like “Extreme Makeover” and “My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss.”
