Monty Brinson was born on November 21, 1957 in High Point, North Carolina. His real name was George Montgomery Hutchens Brinson. He grew up in an affluent household in North Carolina. Monty Brinson was a supermarket franchise heir, his paternal grandfather was George Elijah Hutchens, the founder of Food World. 

There are no information available about his father. However, a source cited that Monty Brinson’s mother’s name is Sarah Hutchens Brinson from High Point. She used to be the Secretary and then President of Food World Inc. before they merged with Harris-Teeter supermarket. 

Monty Brinson has a brother named Robert Brinson and two sisters Sallie & Meb Brinson. 

Brinson’s maternal uncle was Robert Linville Hutchens, the former president and chairman of Food World Supermarket. He was the president during the merge with Harris-Teeter. Unfortunately, he died in his retirement home in Forida, a year before Monty  Brinson died.

Monty Brinson formed the production company Brinson-Richards Entertainment. However, only produced one movie Escape, in 1990. The movie was about a young woman who travels from Chicago to North Carolina in order to investigate the disappearance of his brother. 

In 2005, with the help of his former sister-in-law Kathy Hilton and her husband, Rick Hilton they put together the annual Nicky Hilton’s New Year’s Eve Poker Tournament at Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
