In 2021, Kgomotso Ndungane’s net worth is estimated to be worth around $650,000. However, she could be worth more given the business empire that she’s created even prior to her casting in the hit series The Real Housewives of Durban. (1)
A big portion of her net worth also comes from a business that she’s been running even before she became famous through the real housewives franchise. Kgomotso Ndungane is the CEO of Oak Celebrations. Aside from Oak Celebration, she also owns businesses like the Lelapa Brand, Body and Bath luxury products, etc.
Kgomotso's Early Life

An episode of the Real Housewives of Durban said that Kgomotso Ndungane does not know the Zulu language and her brand’s name ‘Lelapa’ which means family or community in Setswana language, Kgomotso Ndungane is probably a native of South Africa but has roots in Botswana.
The real housewife has a sister and a brother. Unfortunately, she lost her brother in 2021 due to anemia. During the same year, she also lost her grandparents during the pandemic. The reason for their deaths was old age and not the COVID-19 virus. However, because of the pandemic gatherings were not allowed, losing a loved one during that time was extra hard.

Kgomotso Ndungane finished her Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria, one of Africa’s top universities and the largest contact university in South Africa. She studied in the university from 2001-2004.

The couple got married on a beautiful Saturday morning in May of 2011. The couple was in the seventh year of their relationship when they decided to tie the knot. The pair were married in a traditional South African wedding. In fact, the groom paid lobola to the bride’s family. Lobola is a Southern African custom wherein the groom’s family makes a payment in cattle or cash before getting married. This is done so they could build good relations between their families because marriage is seen to be more than just a union between two individuals.

As they walked down the aisle, the traditional song Fiela Fiela played. The presiding minister during their wedding was Father Melusi Hlatswayo. During the ceremony, they only lit a unity candle since they would still have a white wedding where they would exchange their vows.
After the traditional wedding in May, the couple held a white wedding in a medieval-themed Greensleeves wedding and conference venue in Hillcrest near Durban in November of the same year. The chapel was called the Camelot Chapel.
The couple was then blessed with two beautiful children, a son, and a daughter.

Real Housewives of Durban Storyline for Kgomotso Ndungane
Kgomotso Ndungane joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Durban back in 2021. She was part of the main cast. Her co-stars include Sorisha Naidoo, Ayanda Ncwane, Ashes to Beauty CEO Nonku Williams, LaConco, and Annie Mthembu.
During the first season of the show, Kgomotso Ndungane somewhat felt excluded in some episodes by her co-stars. There was an episode when she argued with her co-stars Ayanda Ncwane and Nonkanyiso “Laconco” Chonco. The argument started when Laconco invited only Zulu-speaking cast members to an event she hosted which included Ayanda and Nonku Williams. However, it didn’t include her because she didn’t speak Zulu. On her defense, Laconco said that she wanted all her guests to be comfortable and it wouldn’t be a comfortable experience for her guests if there was a language barrier.
“I am a Tswana, I am married to a Xhosa man and I live in KZN. So I might not be fluent, but if you speak to me in Zulu, I’ll be able to understand you. You always preach women empowerment, you are empowering me to learn about your tribe,” explained Kgomotso.
With the premiere of The Real Housewives of Durban S2, Kgomotso is only a guest star. This is after she got an overwhelming amount of hate from RHOD fans. The hate she got from fans through Black Twitter was so intense it affected her business as well as her mental health. It caused her so much anxiety, good thing she had a strong support system, her husband Odwa Ndungane. During this time, she locked herself out of her social media accounts.
“I wasn’t aware of Black Twitter, I knew Twitter as a business platform… so when I saw these things, I was in absolute shock and my family and friends tried to stop me from reading the stuff,” Kgomotso said when she was asked about the cyberbullying she faced.
